the ONLY time classes were somewhat balanced imo.

To the players that have been playing since then and on....

everyone can tell wut a big dump the devs took on the game trying to improve it.

Id also like to point out that the most common reason of imbalance it seems.... is battlegrounds and arenas are deciding on what roles our class play and what damage we do.
Every nerf and buff coming in and out is all based on people crying about our contained and restricted pvp enviorment.

I dont even pvp on this toon because...its a joke.

<3 Hillsbrad

I have a frost mage friend who will poly Fbolt/ice lance to stack the debuffs on me and kite me around a bit. If poly didn't heal he wouldn't have a chance to stack the buff, he'd kill me by accident

I agree. I still enjoy the game, but I just didn't see it going in this direction on several fronts.

While it was a lot of fun for many, it was also disruptive for those attempting to make PvE progress in those areas and also could get very laggy depending on the amount of players in one concentrated area. During that time, many players expressed a desire to have actual goals and Battlegrounds and Arenas, as well as outdoor objectives, now give players some goals and accomplishments to aim for.

For you, things may seem worse. For others, they may love the additions and the changes that have been made since then.

Balance in general is a very delicate thing to maintain especially when you add more content, items, areas, abilities and more as we have. It's easy enough to say balance should = x, but in reality getting to x can be a much harder thing than people may realize. It takes time, patience and a lot of fine tuning on an ongoing basis.

Actually, nope. Warlocks and Warriors were the laughing stock of the game then, and I believe mages could keep someone infinitely frost nova'ed still.

Oh the times of running to STV with a fellow mage and using rank 1 frost nova to keep the lowbies kited in place forever, and them not being able to log or anything. Muhahaha.

Nothing's changed.

Now, instead of bored level 60 alliance stomping Horde lowbies near Tarren Mill, you have bored level 70 alliance stomping horde lowbies near Tarren Mill.

The entirety of Hillsbrad, outside of maybe the farm and Southshore, need roaming level 70 gold elite Horde guards.

Seriously.

This entire zone has always been far too much in favor of Alliance.. even in closed beta we complained about it.

Who the hell put a level 30 alliance city right next to a horde level 20 city anyway?

Pvpers are being forced to pvp in Battlegrounds give us a server with no Battlegrounds and world pvp is encouraged. I would reroll.

For the love of all that is holy, grant us an FFA server! The only factions on it are guilds...

Rogues may do it from behind... but druids do it like animals!

Exactly.

We are being forced into a small contained and restricted pvp enviorment.
not fun imo.

Although i will note that places like Halaa in outland are an improvement.

Yes, it's not surprising that a mage claimed that was when the game was 'most balanced' seeing as the mages were the kings of the hillsbrad zergfest.

And I had a Warlock as my main and a Druid as my alt back then, both on PVP servers. I tell people how painful it was to level a lock on a PVP server now and they can't understand it. Druids and Locks were both woefully inadequate (locks in PVP, druids in PVP and PVE) for a good year after release.

I am forced to agree. Take away the BGs and Arena, and give people reasons to conduct raids on towns. This is world of WARcraft, not world of "skirmishcraft".
