The problem isn't just the BR issue. My guild is losing people left and right because of the horde/alliance imbalance. If you're alliance on Guru you're pretty much done. It's nearly impossible to level an alt because of bored horde ganking in all of the low level questing zones.

I'd like to see some free transfers but I'm not going to hold my breath. At $25 each they are good money makers for Blizzard.

Perhaps we are seeing the game crumble not JUST our server....

I can't totally agree. And I had to laugh a bit at the post about how Alliance are leaving because of bored Hordies ganking in lowbie zones. Honestly I lose count of the number of times I see "Crossroads under attack" in a day.

I think what we're seeing is a lot of people in limbo waiting for the next expansion. So many hopes are riding on how spectacular it will be, with new content, new epics, new battles, that people are just going through the motions waiting for it. Or they're running around like headless chickens trying to get geared and cash stores built up in time for Northrend.

I didn't start playing till the week BC was released, so I can't compare to the atmosphere before that expansion came out, but that's my impression of it.

I agree with the OP. Although i think forcing BR's to xfer is not fair to them.

However, please let us choose to xfer to a few diff servers free of charge. I came to this server from Warsong a few years ago, and am still dealing with the same BR issues as i did there.

Alliance side, everytime i log in, 75% of the ppl i see in IF are BR. PuGing with BR's is nearly impossible. And now, its forcing all of the great English speaking ppl that i have become friends with through this game to leave this server.

The English speaking side of alliance is dead. Let the rest of us get outta here free, or maybe at a 1 tme fee for all our chars.

Same here. I started playing on Gurubashi because my friends who were playing WoW were on Gurubashi. They just picked it at random long before they knew anything about horde/alliance balance issues. All of them have left, but I'm a casual player and in a guild that doesn't expect me to be online 4+ nights a week for raids so it works out, except for trying to level an alt.

I would be up for free transfers though. I can't say I have any issues with the BRs on this server, but if I was to go to a more english populated server, xferring off guru would cost me like 100 bucks.

I'd be for making Guru a portuguese (not spanish) speaking server and allowing free transfers off it. I think that'd be the way to go.

Lmao I'd almost switch to a latin server to hear Illidan speaking spanish... atleast then I'd be able to understand him... and yes I'm on the second cd of five for "Pimsleurs L2Portuguese" I really don't want to have to transfer unless it's free.

He said top guilds. Sang was 4/5 hyjal and 5/9 BT. That puts them ahead a lot of guilds. Way to take a shot at a guild that isn't even on the server, and to talk about something irrelevant.

We have a list of top Guru guilds:

1st place - Guild X (American)
2nd place - Guild Y (American)
3rd place - Guild Z (American)
4th place - Guild N (BR)
5th place - Guild M (BR)

Americans get fed up with the server cause of the overabundance of BRs

Guild X, guild Y, and guild Z xfer off to another server

4th place (still just as good/bad as they were before) is now 1st

Its like winning the Olympics just because all the other competitors got shot....grats.

This topic is going to be ignored by any blues because its going to degrade into a BR vs US insult fest.
If you want this taken seriously you need to focus on the one fact that DOES make the whole situation bad for everybody and its not "waah horde is outnumbering us cuz allies are transferring to escape the BR's" or "americans just blame the BR's for their own badness"

You need to bring attention to the language barrier problem. When you've got half the server segregating itself because they can't speak the language of the other half, the server as a whole gets a serious problem. Like someone said above, the available recruiting pool gets cut down, overall server progression is affected, and people start getting pissy and anti-br/american.
I don't have a problem with the Brazilians, but when I log onto the game and see someone say LFM DPS for a pug so I offer, and they ask me "BR?" and then refuse to invite me when I say no...well...then yes the server is in trouble. If a pug couldn't understand what I was saying, I probably wouldn't want him in my heroics/raids either.

Brazilians didnt broke the guilds.
Its wayyy to far away from it.

Top guilds broke cause they were too much bored farming illidan for over 4-5 months, then sunwell come, and a LOT of hardcore players already left in the way to sunwell


Muru broke exanimus, Brutallus, Denied...

Kalecgos some others...


Still, dont blame BRs cause you guys su cks, or are bad enought to not hold a decent hardcore cap for sunwell fights.

BRs ruined the realm that was home to everyone I knew. Now almost no one is left. =(
