really a noob question here, but i've been reading around and i have the basic idea on how to figure out if you are uncrushable but i think i'm missing something...

how do i take into account the mobs chance to miss me, and how much more block rating i get when holy shield is up. just at looking at my tooltip i'm at 45.45% avoidance

better yet, am i uncrushable? if so please tell me how you figured it out.. if i'm not, please tell me what i need

add up dodge, parry, block (hit holy shield then check your numbers for the actual figure w/ the libram), add 5% for the base mob miss rate, and mouse over your defense and add the aditional miss rate

If that adds up to 102.4 or higher, you are uncrushable

yeah i know thats the number, I was just trying to figure out how to do it when i wasnt in game. ie what % holy shield+ tricket adds + chance to miss factors in

Dodge% + Parry% + Block % + 5% miss + def scrollover bonus to miss% + 30% Holy shield + 5.33% for Libram of Repentance = 102.4%.

found this in another post (eaxctly what i was looking for)

dodge 15.20%
parry 17.09%
block 13.66%
miss 5.00%
miss from def 6.12%
holy shield 30.00%
libram 5.33%

92.40%

You are definetly not uncrushable. I don't wanna be too harsh here but you really need to get a clue about pally tanking and gear selection. You need items that add to avoidance (dodge, parry, block rating). Kings defender is utter crap for paladin tanks :(

Go get a mod called tank points. Very handy for telling you if you are uncrushable. You can also play around with stats to see if changes will continue to make you uncrushable. Also, it helps you to evaluate tanking gear.

Not true.

Every Paladin tank should have a spell blade and an avoidance blade. Like on Prince I start with my Continuum Blade but swap to my King's Defender right before Phase 2 starts.

how can you say that I need a clue about gear when we have almost the same gear? I have the continum blade just like you I open every fight with it, but i dont need all the spell dmg to keep my aggro up, rather have the + hit (from the kings defender) to continue to keep my aggro steady. exactly like Kreiger said.

Anyway the point is not about what gear I choose I was just trying to clarify what was needed to be uncrusable, so i can talior the rest of my gear to abtain that.

You can get close to 12k hp and uncrushable with 490 def from 5 mans and heroics if you know what items to get...

yeah i need mix up my gear a bit, i have alot of other pieces in the bank that i think i can put on.. might lower my stm, but i think it will get me uncrushable

funny thing is i logged out after I tanked prince.. in that gear I did not get one crushing blow

what will this do?

Avoidance Blade is not kings defender... it would be the heroic mech one... or u could get mine and have both... (block, w/e)

been trying to get yours :)

Honostly I got the kings defender because I was there and nobody needed it.. regadless of not having +dmg it still a very good weapon with the +hit.
