I was just wondering if I unlocked the Death Knight class with this character will I be able to choose if I want them to be alliance or horde?

Also will I only be able to use the Death Knight class for this realm so If I want to change servers (have already 3 times), will I need to start a new character and level them to 80 do the quest again for that server?

You unlock it for all races and all realms iirc

And I was just beginning to wonder if I would ever get a first...

In the realm of helpfulness: I'm not sure they'd want someone to hit 80 on a PvE server and be able to make a pre-levelled DK on PvP.

The comparison to the warlock dreadsteed quest makes me think you'll probably need to run some 5mans. However that doesn't imply guild participation, you can probably PuG it. Especially if you just happen to cross paths with 4 other people who are also looking to unlock DKs :)

I'm pretty sure they confirmed it wouldn't be raiding intensive.

They do not know. Or if they do know, they have not been instructed to release the information. I have a feeling there will be a lot of details in the next two months about the expansion.

Unless they made a change to how paid transfers or any character transfers work in the Live game, this possibility is non-existent.

I also would think for the first few months they would put some restrictions to avoid imbalances. (Think low pop server with lots of transferred DKs).

I just have a question about Death Knight starting equipment. If they aren't going to be starting at level one and level 50/60/70 how are they supposed to level completely naked? Or is this armor to be provided for by the main character ?
