Please keep kills in the game. It's stupid that you can hang out at the edge of the universe and never have a risk of being found and killed. Even a sneaky nelf, kitty druid or rogue has a chance of being found and killed.

Let the PVPers PVP. For god's sake.

And yes, we all know that Mages and priests have a greater chance to really screw people up with this, not to mention ebil druids who moonfire spam AFKers while falling by them about 100 times, just give poeple more options so air flying is more fesible - allow people to stuncharge off their flying mount, create ways for everyone to cause dismounting against flagged people. What's the harm? Seriously, until you hit 70 on a PVP server in outland you're running for your life from divebombing !*%!!*%s who come out of no where in teh sky and gank you before you can react. At the very least allowing air-based PVP it would enable some sort of revenge on the twits who like to rawrbomb lowbies.

The Forums are for players to develop a sense of community.
They are not and should never be considered Blizzard's primary form of customer service.

You missed my point. Completely. Sometimes all somone wants to do is get someplace in the most expedient manner possible. Stopping to attack other players is counterproductive in this case. Maybe they just don't have the time, maybe they just don't feel like it. Who knows what their reason is.

JUST because one is on a PvP server does not mean that PvP is on their mind every single second they are on the server. There are other aspects of the game they are probably more interested at anyone point in time. Farming mats, questing etc.

You wanted them to want to go after you as a willing participant every time just because that is what you want. If that is what you want all the time, then just queue up for BGs all the time. I'm sure you will find enough willing PvP participants to fulfill your need for PvP.

World PvP is, and always has been, raiding opposing faction towns, and randomly attacking flagged players. It's not your call whether they fight back, and you can't force them to even care about World PvP.

Isn't that what you want? Everyone to bloody care about World PvP? For everyone to always want to attack opposing faction players that are PvP flagged?

Guess what, you won't ever get that. Maybe they are interested in it, but maybe they have better things to do because guess what, World PvP has absolutely no rewards. Well, maybe some honor, but other than that it's a complete waste of time. Unless griefing players constantly makes you feel better about yourself.

Oh, and having an epic flying mount is a pretty good way of avoiding PvP, but that's if you ask me.

First, I like the OP's long post. Well done.

Air kills should stay, but people do need a way to dismount flyers as well.

If its that big of a problem at say, tempest keep for example, then maybe each landing point should have its own graveyard?

Or, just for that area alone, implement something along the lines of releasing from tempest keep - reduced rez sickness (or no rez sickness) and durability damage. Yes it would be exploitable, but eh, that graveyard could have guards to counteract exploitation.

I'm all for pvp that people actually want to participate in. In the old southshore pvp days, if you were hanging out in that area, it was generally considered that you wanted to pvp and nobody really felt all that bad when they were killed.

What the poster is complaining about is not being able to kill people that have indicated that they're not interested in pvp. Bummer. While I agree that you should be able to (it is a pvp server after all), it should take a back-seat to actually creating fun, interesting pvp that people WANT to participate in for the sheer fun of it.

I agree fully, the only thing I wanted to be changed was having your body dropping to the ground.

Every class besides rogues have a way to fight in midair (Warriors can charge in midair after dismounting, but I don't think they can charge from ground to air), although only a couple can survive the fall if they are high enough.

Bodies floating in the air isn't natural, it looks weird, and it causes players to be unable to reach their corpses which isn't something we want to turn in to a game mechanic. Corpses not falling has always been the case as players never really had the opportunity to die far off the ground. You may get a good leap and be a few feet, laying there like a magic trick gone wrong, but almost always had the ability to rez at your corpse. With flying mounts the way corpses work just doesn't mesh well, they don't fall to the ground, it looks stupid, and it forces a spirit rez which we don't want to promote.

(To clarify we have no problem with air kills currently, and shouldn't unless something appears to border on exploitation or abuse, only the floating bodies.)

I can fully understand your request to bring people out of the skies, but this simply isn't a way to do that which we could agree with. If it makes you feel better it's not likely that we'll be able to find a suitable fix and then implement it very soon. If you want to put effort or thought into a request that would achieve the same or similar outcome, I would suggest posting new thoughts or ideas that could work with the current game and intended functionality.

I do find it interesting though that for so many on PvP realms it seems that they only wish to engage an enemy when it suits them, while far fewer are actually looking for out and out warfare. Telling, says I. Telling indeed. Rogues a common class too you say? ;)

There are plenty of ways to do this already - flightpaths, summons, portals, etc. God forbid you should have to spend a whopping two minutes flagged and at mild risk of ganking while traveling on a PvP server.

If you aren't ready for PvP at any time in any contested zone, then a PvP server was not the right choice for you. The trade-off for being able to PvP only when it is on your mind is that everyone else is supposed to have the same luxury.

This is a fine argument for a PvE server, but not a PvP server. Just because people aren't willing to fight doesn't mean they aren't fair game (unless they are in a safe zone).

It's not our call whether they fight back or care, true, but they should at least be at risk if they:
1) Intentionally rolled on a PvP server

Nope, never leveled to 60. Cause I've been playing this game since 40 was '1337'. Times change, max levels grow... get a life and enjoy the finer things of WoW.
