Q u o t e:
just want to know why you can't summon a level 61+ to any of the old world instances...

exactly stones to these places dont aid travel for any other reason than to run the instance.

with the exception of stockade and rfc, this is also the cast with most all other instances.

This is not Vendeta.

Most of you need to learn to read.

ex: Stratholme is 58-60, but you can get into it from 45+

I'm not sure about the ones listed though, I haven't tried them.

Q u o t e:

Not sure of the minimums, but the instances you are high enough to enter are listed at all times in your lfg tool under dungeons. So just check that and u can see if you can get in or not.

Doesnt work like this of course if your too high for it, a 70 can still go into deadmines but wont see it in lfg tool.

This isnt true, my alt cannot queue for SM but I can and did take him in at 20 (all wings), the only other requirement I know is Stockades is 15.

Q u o t e:
Why does it only take two people to summon with the stone and three people to summon with a warlock? I wish the warlock didn't need other people to summon, would make things a little easier.

warlock + person A + person B

summon stone + person A + person B

it does take 3.... altho the 3rd is well for lack of a better term an NPC... maybe NPObject :P

Trolls will always be the new horde race, blood elves are just the new undead.

The meeting stones also indicate the level bracket of the dungeon it is linked to.

um, how do I get it to show me the level range on the meeting stones? I use to see them, but then one day they disappeared.

Q u o t e:

Uhm...not really. You just "say" you're going to run them through...and the ditch once they port you. Thus, Blizzard pre-empted people who would use other people for free ports.

That's just a cop out then. Let the server reputations stick with people. If someone is going to do that, then people are going to remember them as jerks, and rightly so.

Why punish people who actually need them?

I have a small guild that raids every monday. Some of the folks in the guild ONLY play on mondays and just to be with friends. So when we're trying to summon a 60-61 to auchindoun to group with the 65+, it's just lame that we have to go meet them and run them to the zone. How lame is that. hey you can be ported, but you can still enter. We're just going to make it a pita.

And before people start clammoring about how they shouldn't be in there. What harm is it? We're playing the game, away from you, and trying to have fun with friends. Exactly what we're supposed to do. So what if they get an item they won't be able to use for 4 levels. They are definitely getting less xp than if they were soloing/questing, and already can't do the quests, so who cares if we can summon them? Same thing with high levels, so what if a group of 60's want to take a 70 level friend with them? let people play the game how they want if it's not affecting other people. Let reputations be earned or trashed without the help of blizzard.

Thanks! :)

Tseric,
when i hover over a meeting stone it doesn't indicate any level for me. Is this because I am 70 and can run any instance? I remember seeing the level distinction on the meeting stones before BC, but haven't seen them since.

There are some adjustments that are under consideration for the level range of dungeons, but nothing definite to report on at the moment.

Well I can definitely report at this moment that my 61 Paladin seems to be outside the level requirements of Scholo. This belies the fact that hitting 61 does not magically grant him his epic mount.

edit to reference the right instance!

I use instances as a free port...probably shouldn't disclose my method since Tseric's reading the thread and it'll get nerfed if he knows! I use no hacking methods, just mechanics currently in game.

One definition of insanity is to do something for twenty years that has not worked, and then do it again as if it will work.

I sense someone had outdated information and edited his post after discovering this... :P

So, can we take this as a sign that the lack of level range on meetingstones will be fixed?

Q u o t e:
This is only for the min level allowed in instance not recommended level to run it.

I have a friend willing to run me through to get some gear, and was wondering if anyone knew the level required for instances like SM, Gnomer and RFD?

Any information would be a great help thanks.

I know Stocks is 15. No idea about the others.

Cool sig under construction....
