I knew it was going to be unavailable once the expansion went live, but with all the changes mentioned in the next patch wasn't sure if this meant the end of bear mounts. So I take it you've heard that they are gone with the patch and not the actual expansion release?

My question must not be clear.
I know that bear mounts aren't going to be taken away once the expansion hits and you won't be able to receive them anymore.
What I'm asking is if the ability to receive them from the fourth chest is going to remain in place until the expansion goes live, or is this upcoming patch going to remove the ability to get them?
The reason I even question it is because that even though we're still going to be level 70, we're gong to have WoTLK spells and talents making the encounters easier I imagine.

The last blue post on the subject said "when wrath goes live".
The only problem is many old world changes went live with 2.0 before BC "went live", so there is a good chance that lvl 70 content changes such as the bear mount removal could go through with 3.0. Until a blue confirms that they will not remove it with 3.0 we'll have to wait and see.
EDIT: I go away for a while and look what happens, a blue confirms it right under me lol.

This is new information to me. Last I heard it was when the Lich King goes "live."

I guess I'd better farm up 5k gold so that I can buy a ZA run to get my bear mount, since that's the only way I'll ever be able to get one with my schedule.

Huh. I'm curious as to why. I thought the removal of the bear was due to the ease of farming it by level 80 players. I'm not sure how extra talents will make it much more trivial without the added 10 levels.

Good. Bear runs will be a joke with the new talents.
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted. Too many humans, not enough space or resources.
