Since the release of the new RAF (refer-a-friend) on August 5, 2008 and directly straight quote from blizzard's FAQ for the new RAF:

the linked account WILL BE ONLY linked 90 days (3 months!!!) therefore the linked will be stopped after 90days..that means it will STOPPED just right before or right at the moment of WOTLK release date!
THAT means WOTLK release date is NOV 4, 2008 or maybe but i doubt it Nov 11, 2008...BUT MOSTLY definitely it will be release on NOV 4 2008.

Interesting speculative, but I'm not sure it works out, as the 90 days is from when the link is established. They are likely anticipating people using the service for some time (until it is no longer available), and probably wrote the Death Knight/WoLK stuff to cover when it will overlap.

knowing blizz it will come out well when its done. but from a release stand point November tends to be the big month for most games because its released just early enough for all the Christmas shopping and for word of mouth to spread the buzz during the Christmas shopping season.
I don't mind the gnomes, but I'm always worried about tripping over them.

Would be nice to get a general "idea" of what the current plans are soon... some of us have to submit Vacation days months in advance, and it would be nice to take a week off work like I was able to for BC when WOTLK comes out...

But in all seriousness, if you could lower it a bit it would be nicer. Nothing sux worse when a level 70 rogue is corpse camping you over and over, and you get penalized for dying waiting 2 minutes.

Gamepro had it listed for November. Hopefully, November is a good ballpark figure; hopefully we won't have to wait until March of 09.

Keep in mind Mike Morhaime did say not that long ago that WotLK will be released between October to December of 2008. So perhaps you have a bit better of a range now.
