I am pretty sure they removed DR, or was it after someone receives 50 deaths, either way I said no DR so that it would not be introduced, you never know what those lacklustre bean counting fun ruining blizztard employees would do.

They would have to take it away before they could bring it back.

If players must be rewarded in order to get them to do something, they must not enjoy it very much.

If you get enough people together and start blasting TM, then they will call for help and they will start pushing you back to SS....you can still do world PVP, it just takes more time to get people who want to do it.
Control SM entrance is fun too.

The lag was horrible back in the day, not sure if it was the server or ourmachines....

Atleast you came up with a reasoning on why you think it should not be implemented, however most people have limited time to play this game, so most people choose to play the PvP that allows them to get better gear. This change would only bring world PvP and BG's on par. Thus allowing the consumer to decide which kind of PvP they like best.

You can make a weekend of killing people any time you like. You may not get a ton of honor out of it, but hopefully that isn't your only motivation for PvPing. World PvP (when put together outside of zone pvp objectives) are generally just spontaneous battles that people put together. Sometimes people even plan events that follow a capture and hold or escort type of line. I generally peg it in the "Just for fun" category and I have to tell you, I've had some of the most fun during city raids complete with coordinated attacks, feints, and even hasty withdrawals.

We can bake a lot of things into world PvP but in the end, it's still going to come down to what everyone as a player decides is the most fun for them and whether they want to take part in it or not.

Now, I know this will open up a lot of other discussion on what WE can do on our end to promote it, but I'd like to remind people to keep it constructive. We have Lake Wintergrasp coming which should provide a lot of explosive fun (depending on which end of the siege weapon you're on), and it will be one entire zone solely dedicated to PvP. When you walk in, you know what you're in for from the start and yes, the rezzing will work like it does in Battlegrounds. More on what people can expect as far as play wise, is yet to come. This zone is not active yet in the beta, so once it is, I look forward to not only getting in there and experiencing it with everyone else, but seeing everyone else's reactions and feedback.

i love world pvp, but planning world pvp is lame and sucks all the fun out of it.

I like what Blizzard is doing with one of their dailies in Grizzly Hills :)

It's going to be EXTREMELY easy to get some epic world PvP battles with the mill daily quest.

I have a feeling you've been in a couple of my city raids.

A boats a boat but a mystery box can be anything, it can even be a boat. You know how much we've wanted one of those, we'll take the box.
