Thanks for putting this together. I am just starting to heal heroic and Karazhan with my group. I am at a stage where I still need another healer to keep up. I will definitely can use your advice to improve. Thank you again.

love this.

atm im at a mp5 vs healing dilemma. and as you said i have 2 sets (kind of.. only a few pieces differ).

im at 98mp5 unbuffed which isnt too bad i dont think.. (not an expert with gear standards).

i wil lbe using the 1mp5 to 10 healing later on, i was glad to see something that i can go by.

p.s. ive also noticed a chain heal stretching across rooms in kara. but in 5 mans it wont jump from MT to rogue when theyre on the same target! (and neither of them were at full health.)

I value MP/5 over all. I don't overheal as much and I tend to have more mana with high MP/5. Plus this way I save on inv space and don't have to carry 2 sets with me.

To save time just assume I am right.

Bump and can we get a link for grid? I can't seem to find it and I'm not sure if it's the full name or not. I keep coming up with some in-game mini game thing called gridshard when I search the ui sites i know of.

btw op, love the macros.

Nicely written, and thanks.

Some questions for you, from a 32/26 Enhancement/Resto hybrid:

* How are you for dealing with threat? I'm forever dragging threat away from trash mobs whenever there are loose caster mobs or the folks I'm with don't have a tank that can pick up multimob aggro. In those cases, I am damned happy to have a big shield to hide behind...
* Do you use Water Shield at all when you're in a group? I'm finding it ungodly useful in solo PvE grinding...
* How many instances of Healing Wave do you have on your hotbar? I've got two: one for spot heals, downranked to heal about 900 damage a pop, and my heavy hitter, which heals about 1700-1900 and crits for just under 3K.

what ranks are those?

im only about +520 heal but that works out as rank 7 and rank 9 HW. i imagine your probably using rank 6 and rank 8? Do you (or OP) use the max rank HW much at all?

I think it's 7 and 9 -- I'm not at my computer at home, so I'm putting values instead of ranks. ;) Currently, I've got +190 healing (yeah, I know, it's not a lot, yet, but it's the best I've put together yet...) Nominally, my main heal is the highest rank I have available, but once upon a time I had all (then 5) of my Healing/ LHW on my hotbar, and I'd use whichever one was the highest available at the time depending on mana.

Could someone post a link for the Grid addon. I found one named Klik and was wondering if this is what folks are talking about.

IMO "Healbot" mod is better, grid just seems too small to me... although it might just need better setting up on my machine

threat can be an issue in places like shattered halls with a lot of mobs running around. there are trinkets you can get to deal with this. also, placing a tranquil air totem like 20 years behind you so that you get it but not the tank is also helpful. as a last resort, i pop earth elemental and throw a earth shield on it, although it typically gets 1-shotted in heroics.

water shield is slightly useful in fights where you might take some incidental or aoe damage. i have it up all the time out of habit.

i use max rank healing wave (heals around 4k), rank 8, rank 6 and rank 10. 10 and 6 are used infrequently.
