Any word on what raw materials the new Inscription profession will use? My first guess would be enchanting dusts/essences/shards but who knows...

My hunch says some random unnamed line of stuff that will be "prospected" off enchantment mats

Its my guess that the inscriptions will require mostly cloth (like tailoring) and enchanting items (such as dusts).

I'm hoping for crushed Gnome bones & pressed Gnome sweepings, but that might be unfair since we on the Alliance have a ready-to-go supply being 'sheltered' in Ironforge.

Maybe it's self supported like enchanting, were you can get the mats for it without needing a seperate gathering proffesion. I hope so.

Whatever the mats are, they will be in whatever dungeon you don't feel like running at any particular time.

How do you get ink?

Fishing for squids! Mix in some magical dust and lets not forget quills.

1) So grind for squids via fishing.
2) Disenchant items for a particular dust.
3) Grind feathered creatures for quills. (One time use of course)

The one theing I am sure of we will have a bit of grinding.

I was hoping for Ink. Now before you start going on about tomes and such, that isn't what I mean by ink. I've always thought it would be cool if Inscription was like enchantments for the body. Where you have say 6 new slots to put an inscription and these "tattoos" from the profession would show up on your character. Saddly from the sounds of things it isn't going to turn out that way, but there is an idea for Blizzard to use down the road.
