Am I missing something? how do you find gems at the action house with out clicking on the "trade goods" category and cycling through 12 pages of random garbage looking for gems? Why should I have to know the names of the gems I want? sometimes I don't know! any tips? am I missing something?

As far as I know, that's the only way to do it besides looking up the names of the gems you want and typing them in directly. It sucks and there should be a gem tab, but until then...

/beg for an easier way to find gems in the AH.
God forbid you forget what colors you want while scrolling through 20,000 other things or want to compare prices of the gem you do manage to find and want, then decide they are all too expensive and hafta start all over again.

So there is no secret way to find gems and I'm not a big noob? nice....that's all i needed to know.

There is no "easy" way as of yet, but we do plan to add a filter at some point for them.

shouldn't this have been done before allowing something to be sold on the AH in the first place...its called "thinking ahead" I know its hard concept to grasp

Some point means never, like being able to search by buyout price instead of bid price and being able to search for uncooked food items or the like.

How about "some point" be soon? It's a ROYAL pain in the ass to find gems right now, to the point where it hurts business for gemcrafters. I have on several occasions not purchased a gem simply because I didn't feel like sifting through 100 pages of junk to find one or two I'm looking for. This is not a minor issues; it's a major inconvenience and design flaw.
When I say "soon" people start to get a strange nervous twitch in their eye. Otherwise, I would have said soon. I don't want to make people twitchy so early in the morning.

There is an addon called Auctioneer that gives you a tab that filters gems under trade goods. However, it doesn't seperate them into uncut and cut gems. It's better than nothing though.
