ok... Here is the deal... I had a quest today to obtain the Seal of Ascension, otherwise know as the ubrs key. This quest started with Vaelan in LBRS. I went to the Wyrmbog in Dustwallow Marsh and got Emberstrife to <10% and dropped the Unforged Seal of Ascension then used the Orb of Draconic Energy on him to forge it, i succeeded but died b4 i could loot it. Ran back only to find the quest mob bugged not allowing me to complete the quest. I opened a ticket and was told to drop and retake the quest and that a gm couldnt help me with this. So i dropped the quest as i was advised to, Im now standing next to Vaelan and he wont allow me to retake the quest... :(
Is this a know issue, What do i gotta do to get the quest again?

Apparently you had logged out already.
The issue with Vaelan and the Seal of Ascension is a known one and we hope to have a resolution to it added in a future patch. Unfortunately right now I can only present you with a work around for the issue.
Basically what is happening is when the instance resets Vaelan will forget that he has ever spoken to you. In order to get around this you will need to acquire another Unadorned Seal of Ascension. Once you have the Unadorned Seal of Ascension speak with Vaelan, he will examine your Unadorned Seal of Ascension and continue his dialog as if you had never been there before.
Once he runs through his starting dialog he will offer you the quest that you should be on, since you have already completed the first Seal of Ascension quest he will give you the second one as well as Vaelan's Gift which will have the Unfired Seal of Ascension and the Orb of Draconic Energy in it.
Complete the quest and return to him, again if you had left the instance long enough for it to reset you will need to speak with him while a Unadorned Seal of Ascension is in your inventory.
I am very sorry for the frustration this has caused you, good luck with Emberstrife.

Thank you o wise Vrakthris. You are the first person to give me this workaround after 2 in game tickets. The Forum support always seems to be the best support when it comes to very specific aspects of the game. Keep up the good work.

I don't know if this will get a response since the OP was in March, however, I did the quest line and checked the forum when it did not work. So I got another unadorned seal, per your instruction, but I still could not get the yellow ? or complete the quest.
I have returned on 4 separate occasions to try to finish this quest, but to no avail. I have destroyed the unadorned seal and got a different one. I have completely cleared LBRS out of sheer frustration, but all I got from that was a dozen small brilliant shards. Nothing I have tried has worked.
