0. Why isn't there a DVD version of WoW/WoWBC 03/18/2007 12:20:21 PM PDT
I mean, reinstalling is a pain when you have to go through 9-10 discs when installing both WoW and BC at the same time
I always wanted to make a video of me fishing, with a heavy deathmetal soundtrack. I would put up words on the screen like "PWNED" and "OUCH" when I caught fish.

Soooo, if I wanted to re-install I could just download both WoW and WoWBC from this site?

The Collector's Editions contain DVD's, so that's a possible solution if you can find a copy. You can also create your own DVD by copying all of the Tome files into a single directory and then burning the contents of that directory as a DVD. Instructions on how to copy those files can be found here http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww01635p but the burning portion you'll have to figure out yourself with whatever software you use to do so. I believe you can also still obtain demo discs from some retailers, for the original game only of course, for a dollar or two.

Why not release two different versions of regular edition because you know not everyone can afford collector's edition. Its lot better and easier

Q u o t e: It would appear my BC:CE contains 4 installation CDs
The original game now comes with 5 I believe, so that would be 9 CD's when reinstalling the full game. The OP was quite right. You have a DVD if you own the Collector's Edition though.
When creating your own DVD from the CD's you already own, as I outlined and linked to, the game installs exactly the same as it would if you had the Collector's Edition DVD. Seamless.
Like I said, not sure about the original client but you can definitely download the expansion from here.
Anyone know where to DL the original client?

You can also pick up the WoW Trial Edition DVD. Since it has the complete client you can just install from that disc and then put in the four CDs of BC. I think the trial goes for two dollars (but you still need both an account and the CD key from the full version of WoW) or you can pick up the Starcraft or Warcraft III Battlechests to get a copy.

Wait I'm getting confused. We are referring to installation disks correct? Not bonus content DvDs...
I have the big green Burning Crusade Collectors Edition box and I see some cards, a mousepad, art book... along with 4 Installation CD-Roms, a CD soundtrack, and a behind the scenes DVD, and a WoW trial.
Was I supposed to have 1 Installation DvD instead?
