If your group is unwilling to pull back a little to do CC, get another group. Fear is a fine CC method. Succi's will get one shotted in Heroics anyway by anything that is currently immune to Seduce.

What's better, the CCed mob killing the Succi between Seduce casts then being completly loose, or stepping back a few feet to do fear which you can recast all day long before any mob hits your or anyone in your group?

Well, I think the Priest complaining (which is somewhat valid) is that before if you wanted a Warlock for Seduce, you could swap in a Priest for Mind Control instead. Now warlocks can seduce those mobs and others, which Priests can't deal with.

However, that's not taking into account that Seduce is most likely not the only reason you're bringing the warlock. *shrug*

On a related note, can we get a working pettarget that doesn't rely on the pet actually going up to melee a mob?

honey? lol.

That's true, but you can use your target's spells. When I run heroics with a shadow priest, we mind control instead of seduce whenever possible. Seduce is somewhat unreliable due to the Succubus' tendency to die in one unlucky cleave and relatively small mana pool.

Seduce is the worst form of crowd control anyway. It will be nice in a pinch.


but this is how it's gonna go.

Succubus seduces x target.

X target breaks seduce, proceeds to one shot pet.

Like banish, you can't reseduce while a target is seduced so you have to tell your dumb pet to reseduce. in that time, she'll likely get one shotted by a heroic mob.

With this change I might be compelled to seduce mobs that don't hit too too bad (like a caster maybe, but in general I'd rather use fear.

Priests still have shackle, the best UD crowd control. Warlocks may now be getting another cc in heroic mode, but both their cc's are pretty risky, especially in heroic mode.
