I've been playing my priest since launch, and used to raid pretty hardcore. It was nice for a while there pre-TBC when i had 3.9 AC, and tons of stam, my survivability was almost bearable, now it completely blows. A recent post from the devs said they still think we have pvp-utility because we have offensive dispel. Are you fscking kidding? Thanks for pigeon-holing me and completely ignoring the priest community. There are many, many other grievences but I'm too tired to list them, and lets be honest, it wouldn't make any difference. I'm tired of waiting/hoping things will change for the better. Why anyone would want to play a priest over a pally is beyond me.
Spending 3/4 of my mana to kill a level 68 when I'm 70 is rediculous, even if I am PvE spec. A nice fix would to remove the cost of respecs. Why is that EVEN IN THE GAME?

Q u o t e:
I've mentioned it before but I'm Disc at current.
Interesting. The spec that would be least affected by the patch changes... Hmm.. <ponders grand consipiracy theories before discarding them in favor of 'out of touch developers' theory>

Q u o t e: My Paladin is level 10. Post patch this character is pretty much a PvE/raid healbot as that is all the class is good for now. I will be logging in for Karazhan and to help with heroics if needed and the rest of the time will be spent levelling a healing/support class that is viable in both halves of the game.
I, too, am in the exact situation.
I'll probably keep playing for another six months or so to see how things shape up, but not much feels different right now in terms of content and gameplay. I'm really only playing at this point to hang out/raid with friends.

I'm in the same boat as well. My shaman is level 34 (almost 35) and I really enjoy the gameplay so far. She rocks in PVP... lives a lot longer (and yeah, I'm keeping in mind the low level here).
I log in my priest to help others get their updates or heal when needed, but I needed to roll an alt anyway to stay active while I'm working on my graduate research paper for this semester.

1) No
2) No
3) No
I think the whole idea of shadow priests to begin with is ridiculous - priests should never have been given a shadow tree. I mean, if we have a shadow tree, then why don't we have a fire tree - so we can become like fire mages? Ridiculous.

I haven't had my priest since launch so I don't know if I count, but I've been playing since the first day and rerolled as a priest long before 1.10. I even had the old 31 point Discipline talent -- a whopping 23 spirit buff. Woohoo. I kind of miss that graphic. :P
I'm going to be leveling my alts, the <70 game is what's fun for me. My decision to respec Holy at 70 went with the resignation that I'd rarely, if ever, PvP on this character again. Every class has some sort of activatable interrupt, stun, or crowd control to counter healing, but the only proactive counters to interruption a priest has are a) Psychic Scream, which is very easily negated, and b) Silence -- which is a shadow talent!
man i was laughing so hard thinking thats how they had the priest nerf meeting
