Ever since hearing about the nerfs I've really made an effort to stay out of the forums. I still like the class and I'm sure that won't change even with the coming nerfs....

....but I've been reading some of the recent posts and some older ones and these two names really jump out at you. From what I've read, these are the developers of the instances and class design. Although they never had and devoloper experience, they're responsible for classes that millions play because they were guild leaders in everquest. On top of that, one or the other (maybe even both) has stated explicitly their disdain for hybrid classes.

I was willing to work around the nerfs... but this seems a bit too coincidental. Maybe druids are justified in outright quitting the game. I'm not completely in the loop, but if you have any useful information to this regard, please post.

yeah, when they heard "warriors are complaining that hybrids are holding aggro better than they are", they probably had EQ flashbacks and went amok.

Tigole & Furor - We're sorry shadowknights and paladins had more aggro than you in EQ. I'm sure you didn't suck and knew how to play. Must of been infuriating seeing an inferior class do as well as you, with less effort. Now that being said, can we have our class back please ?

Well, they coordinated server crashes on some other game because they were outtanked by a hybrid class. Can't we coordinate and have them fired?

The fact that they were actually involved in crap like that at any point in their lives makes me wonder what the hell the person who hired them was smoking. You gave an interview to someone that publicly sabotaged a competitor's product?

If you ever played EQ and know about the monk mitigation nerf.....

you'll know Furor invented QQ.....

(they hired him because he ran EQ's highest profile guild and made a name for himself being a crybaby....the guild ran and still runs a high profile mmo forum - FOHguild - he has delusions of grandeur because he spent his entire life obsessing over one mmo's raid scene including being involved in extensive beta testing of every xpac and thinking he was awesome because he got serverwide firsts.....so he QQ'd loud and long enough to the right people that for some reason they thought he'd be a good designer.....crybaby narcissists have the best ideas i guess?)

Edit: BTW....yeah....he was a warrior and main tank for his guild.....and in EQ that meant the definition of narcissist.....they got EVERY SINGLE piece of loot in the entire game before everyone else.....EQ itemization had a lot more overlap than WoW does (kinda like raid items had 20 to all stats and a bunch of hp/mana as an example....and the item budgets were much more liberal to having both caster and melee stats)....so they got everything because it had higher hp than what they currently had on, that whiney caster who could use the mana regeneration on the item didn't know what was best for the guild....

Bears tanking "better" than warriors (5mans with non-bleed immune, non-heavy magic using mobs with slow attack speeds) is what started this nightmare.

It has a lot to do with class balance.

Sadly.

Possibly, in their efforts to get the "One Expansion per year" schedule, they have started the next expansion, so Kalgan (who was lead designer on TBC) might be reassigned to oversee design of the next expansion. Future TBC patches will revolve more and more around releases of instances, so Tigole, who is in charge of instances, would likely take a more prominant role.

Yeah, that struck me as a bit odd as well. I'm not the most "mature" person ever (though I like to conduct myself eloquently), but I would NEVER consider resorting to ruining someone else's play experience simply to get a point that I have illustrated repeatedly and obnoxiously across. Yet these two were hired with NO prior experience (and little programming experience) to develop a massive project like this one? It's like hiring a murderer to be a judge. It makes no sense.

What people need to start doing is complaining about them to Vivendi.

Instance design has a HUGE effect on what classes can do particular tasks.
Furor is head developer isn't it. (or is it the other way around?) Seems he would have "some" guidance where things go.


As for the person that commented on server crashes in other games, YES this is the same people. I love the fact that Blizzard took steps to punish players that joined in the IF spam before the expansion while having these two on board the staff.

obviously you never raided in EQ because my sk and a pally tank in my guild got FIRST on anything we wanted and the warriors sat in line ..... each guild is run differently, dont generalize a MMO that you know nothing about.
