Final calculations:

Health decreased by 898 (7.62% reduction)
Armor decreased by 1549 (8.65% reduction)

Maul damage down an average of 70 points (13.94% reduction)
Maul crit damage down an average of 168 points (15.27% reduction)

Mangle damage down an average of 180 (32.37% reduction)
Mangle crit damage down an average of 550 (39.06% reduction)



Both of these were without wearing any idols (didn't want the increased damage from the idols skewing the results). They were averaged from 30 samples of each.

Look at those numbers and try to tell me this isn't a huge nerf to bear tanking, and feral pvp.

Shamelessly bumping my own post, I spent a bit of time writing all these attacks down so I could give an approximate effective value of just how much we've been nerfed.

I applaud you for your effort but these other classes are not concerned with facts or numbers as in previous threads they just want us back to what we where before resto healers who are free H/Ks. Facts mean nothing to them.

It's a nerf, yes. That was the intention!

Now go play your bear on the PTR. You'll see bear tanking is just fine and you'll hopefully have to change out of bear form at least once before crushing a warrior/rogue now

Those numbers are shocking, worse than I thought...



It makes me wonder what blizzard thinks if warriors with 12k health and "deep thunder" are balanced.

3600 mortal strikes for a class with the highest health doesnt seem balanced following their logic with the druid nerfs.

wow, thats a rediculous loss in damage.

The changes to armor and health... meh. They're small and reasonable enough that I couldn't really care one way or the other, especially after seeing the actual numbers.

But man, that is a huge... huge kick in the nads to bear damage. Which, of course, is a huge kick in the nads to bear tanking.

I'm starting to wish I had taken all those spell dmg leather quest rewards on the way up to 70 instead of the feral stuff...

Thanks for your work. And yes, if these changes go through the cumulative effect is guaranteed total feral elimination.

Also, keep in mind these numbers are just using my gear. The more armor, health, and damage you had before these nerfs than me, the more you'll lose percentage wise.

So when a tanking Warr can Block, perry, dodge, and use a sheld; Blizz goes and nuffs us making us a Warr that can only dodge. good game good game.

Let's hope Blizzard keeps your Bear damage low, but raises the Threat multiplier or adds flat threat to compensate.

That's the best solution.

Ya thats pretty pathetic, %40 loss in damage, with the HP/AC nerf that will grow bigger with gear.

Also making Savage Fury Worthless as it was pre 2.0 is sad.

Exactly and you're not the first to point this out. If this patch goes through it will be far worse than what even warriors dealt with.

Even IF bear tanking was still viable (I doubt it), noone will invite you to a group. We lost the only thing we were bringing to groups, aside from being heal bots.
