This is what I consider the optimal level 60 grinding build. It has all the mitigation talents, besides kings. There are quite a few liberties taken in that build because its focused completely on grinding with no consideration to tanking, pvp, raiding, or anything else. If I were to do the same thing and take the same liberties for a level 70 build, I would take vindication (which truly sucks for anything else) and imp ret aura. Again I stress that this is completely in regards to AoE grinding and it loses some viability in any other light.
What would be a good way to balance PvP with AoE grinding..because I'm going to be doing both. (Sorry for all the trouble =P)

Are there any AoE grinding spots that are alternatives to Elementals/Wolves/Buzzards in Badlands? I haven't really been getting very fast EXP with those so far.

Although an in depth discussion of PvP should be left for another thread, in the interest of bumping this thread I will point out that Guardians Favor and and Improved Hammer of Justice are in the Protection tree and are arguably two of the best PvP talents available.

I re-speced after reading this last night, and I LOVE it; so I thought it needed a bump. (WHERE is the sticky?!?!?!)
Also, I think this shield should be added to the gear list, the proc plus a spike is great ! http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5619
EDIT: Just wanted to add, that I was able to pull all 8 of the buzzards, just outside the S exit of Kargath, at once. 4-6 Ogres and (because of the runners) ended up with a pile of 11 bodies in Angor Fortress.

Bumpity Bump bump.
On a side note, i respecc'd to prot from ret at 35 and ive been enjoying it. The only beef I have is that my durability goes to crap fast lol. but 35silver repair costs are better than 7g ones. I love how redoubt works and how reckoning works since my weapon is fast enough to get all 5 charges out.

I was grinding at Northfold Manor from 33 on up, and it was GREAT--I could take 7 mobs at once with no problems, and they killed themselves with their dual wielding. But now I've moved on to the murlocs in Dustwallow, and it's just awful. They attack so slowly that none of my defensive abilities seem to go off. Am I grinding on the wrong murlocs? Everyone talks about how great these murlocs are for AoE grinding...what am I doing wrong?
I LIKE having an army of demonic minions to do my bidding. Does that make me a bad person?

Yeah, but just 'ok'.
From Lionsroar:1) Skill > Gear > Spec, in that order.2) If you see someone dying, heal.3) If you see some clothies getting punched, tank.4) If 2 &3 are under control, do damage.5/IAEF /dance
