Where is "The Murloc Cave"? Is it the one with the fleshtearers and Inkspewers, because that one is very bad, since the Inkspewers will make you miss 50% of the time.

Q u o t e:
I may try this with my Belfadin once I get her to 35. However, I'm wondering how well this build quests. Is it all about grinding? I hate to grind.

The build tends to quest extremely well, since you can do that sort of AOE-pulling to practically any group of reasonably-leveled mobs. You also have decent damage as long as you're getting hit and very good survivability, so elites are cake and pie as well.

The only thing that really sucks is quests with ranged attacker-heavy groups. You can take them, but you tend to be forced to take them one or two at a time and your DPS suffers a lot.

Here's the small vid I made for Deaths Door. Hope it helps.

From below the dragon dark comes forth,
Nidhogg flying from Nithafjoll
The bodies of men on his wings he bears
The serpent bright
But now must I sink.

I pulled 9 orcs in LBRS. Took about 10 mins to kill them all.

It's already been said above, but I'll reinfoce it. It quests extremely well. Most quests will actually be easier for you. Casters & Ranged heavy encounters will take you longer than a "normal" build would and eat up your mana like a "normal" build would, but it will still be easy. I haven't had to have any help on any (group) quests since I took this build.

A few questions.

1) Does this build only start being effective at level 35?
2) What's a good spec to use from 35-70?
3) Is it safe to say at level 70 (or possibly sooner) a respec is in hand?

1) You can cheese it a level or two ahead of time, but 35 is when you can get max reckoning and blessing of sanctuary.

2) If you look in the 3rd post after the gear discussion part, you'll see I've laid out 3 basic builds. After that point you can make your own decisions, good ideas are things like ardent defender, sacred duty, more powerful heals, etc.

3) Depends, if you like tanking you could work this into a tank build. I, myself, am a healer so I respecced to 40+ holy.

Advocating pet rights is serious business!

No. You can easily "mini-grind" before level 35. Your groups will be smaller (3-4), it will be even more important to avoid enemies like casters/ranged, it will be more important to depend on Jol/JoW and increased attacks from Seal of the Crusader, and you'll be eating and drinking like all the "regular" class builds. But you can still grind multiple mobs as a lower level prot spec.

I thought that was in the main posts?

You will probably spend some money tweaking your build at 70. Once you get geared some of the "golden" talents like toughness and anticipation can be replaced by gear, which allows you to pick up some talents that are better for end game. Prot is still a very good tree for end game, though, if you like to tank.

When I asked for builds I meant level 70 pre-respec builds. The builds in this thread stop at level 50. The reason I ask is I don't know the first thing about paladin so I don't know where to put talent points. I've played horde the majority of my career on WoW so up until recently the term paladin was used more with me whining about them in a BG than anything else, haha.

I'll probably level up the ret tree til 35 then I'll respec. Being a shaman, healing is nice and all, but I'm possibly thinking about trying out tanking, so a build with the prot spec would be nice.

This is what I consider the optimal level 60 grinding build. It has all the mitigation talents, besides kings. There are quite a few liberties taken in that build because its focused completely on grinding with no consideration to tanking, pvp, raiding, or anything else. If I were to do the same thing and take the same liberties for a level 70 build, I would take vindication (which truly sucks for anything else) and imp ret aura. Again I stress that this is completely in regards to AoE grinding and it loses some viability in any other light.
