I'm level 68 and just got flight form.
I go to nagrand to try it out. Turns out we're having some PVP there. I go join and have some fun.
After a few bombings runs (I can bomb the same place 3 times in a row) my wyvern camp is taken over by horde. I escape by bird form.
Then , a shaman frost shocks me and then a hunter shoots me to death. And then, my corpse dies in midair.
After 5 minutes of running back to my corpse, I discover something. My corpse is in midair and out of ressing range. Now I'm FORCED to go back and spirit res.
Although it isn't a big deal. It'd be really inconveinent if you died in midair and had to run back for 15 minutes, only to discover that you cannot res.

This is currently an effect of a technical limitation that we're aware of and hoping to be able to overcome in a future update. Unfortunately for now if this occurs it will be necessary to resurrect at the nearest spirit healer.

I read this as, "Currently, there is a technical limitation that allows druids to die. We plan to correct this in a future update. For now, druids will have to suffer the onus of resurrecting just like normal people."

Actually, the fix is 'kinda' simple. Change the gravity mechanic so it affects the corpses of player that have not released. I know there is alot more to the technical aspect of that though...

I've had it happen to me, very annoying.
I was waiting in the middle of the ring to do SL, I hate that place, when I start getting shot by a hunter, no worries I think, fly up up and away! sit there smirking at him, his priest comes up with me, now I was thinking we'd have a nice chat, then he dismounts, dots me, and I hurry like hell towards the ground, as I was already at 25% HP...
no dice... splat 70 meters up.
Spirit rez, 15g, since I was carrying both my healing and damage sets along with three bits of armor I had just crafted for my warlock buddy... yea... that was freaking nice.
