Does have three arena team charters - all of which (presumably) start at 1,500 rating all generate Arena points each Friday? If so, is that also true if the team doesn't play and just maintains the 1,500 Arena Rating?

Q u o t e: You will gain points seperately for each charter. Maximizing your efforts on three teams will therefore see the best gains.
Arena points are awarded on a weekly basis, but will be tallied and awarded on Tuesday (during maintenance).
The award amounts have been adjusted slightly and break down in the following fashion:
5v5 matches will award a full allotment of arena points.
3v3 matches will award 80% of the allotment.
2v2 matches will award 60% of the allotment.
So, essentially, I could make three charters (2vs2, 3vs3, 5vs5), enroll a bunch of players, then never play. The 1,500 points accumulated weekly would yield (according to the formula on your website):
816 free points a week for doing nothing. Although I realize you get a lot more for actually playing, isn't it a problem you can essentially farm free points without diminishing returns?

hunh? I thought you only got the arena points for your best team. So how is it maximizing your efforts to be on all three teams? isn't it better to just have the best 5on5 team and practice up and stay with that team?

have to participate in 10 matches a week with that team to get any sort of points at all.
Q u o t e:
What if none of the members participate in any of the games? Can't they just farm free points?
and you have to participate in a minimum percentage of your team's matches to be available for points, as well. no free points here. You have to fight your ass off for every one of 'em.

When you look like me, it's hard to get a table for one at Chuck E. Cheese's.

Q u o t e: You will gain points separately for each charter. Maximizing your efforts on three teams will therefore see the best gains.
Arena points are awarded on a weekly basis, but will be tallied and awarded on Tuesday (during maintenance).

So it is 100% confirmed that you get arena points for all 3? Previously I had thought whichever one had the highest rating or whatever decided your points.

No... you have to participate in at least 30% of your team's games to earn points, and your team must play 10 games a week.
And I'm pretty sure Tseric is mistaken, it conflicts with multiple previous blue posts stating that you only receive points for your "best" team's performance on any given week.
