I own two accounts and sometimes I run them on two different systems and play both at the same time. Often I use one just to buff up a new starting character while it lvls.
What is blizzards stance on this. I have heard both that it is and is not a bannable offense. I know many people who do it and have not been banned.
I just want to make sure.

Badkarma, we do not stop players from owning and playing multiple accounts. What you want to avoid when playing both accounts is using any third party programs to automate game play in an effort to have the characters on the account playing the World of Warcraft withour your presence. There are all manner of ways to use two accounts that are not outside of our in-game policies and legal documents (Terms of Use and End User License Agreement, http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/), and as long as you steer clear of behavior that could be considered exploitive (Exploitation Policy: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowgm/?id=agm01716p) you should be A-Okay. ;)

I was running an Arathi Basin a couple of nights ago and encountered a character that was botting his mage. His name is Bizeren from LIghtbringer server, he had other names such as Yizeren, Aizeren for the other charcters, but he had 5 total. He one shotted me with his crit fireball due to the fact the its was actually a 5 shot from all of the mages he was controlling at once. Lost the round by a couple hundred points, but the bigger issue is making sure blizzard is aware so this crap doesn't happen again. Thanks

If you believe a player is breaking the rules, you need to open a ticket in-game, not dredge up year-old threads that have nothing to do with your topic. Also, public accusations against other players are frowned upon in this forum.
You might also want to do a forum search for the term "multi-boxing", you may find previous works on the topic enlightening.

This was once an Information Haven thread, folks—it's alright. Even so, no need to continue bumping an old thread with statements indicating that you should not bump old threads. :)
Let's just take a step back. No, I was wrong. I'm sorry; take a step forward. Now, take a step back. Step forward. Back. And then we're cha-cha-ing!
