I'm specifically talking about pvp. Stacking resilience doesnt seem like the best idea for purely offensive classes. I find it kind of annoying that all of the pvp reward rogue armor forces us to have lots of resilience. I would trade every point of the resilience for crit/AP. There should be two arena sets for rogues, to give the option of a more offensive set.

Also, the speed on the arena throwing weapon is garbage. I dont plan to deadly throw once every 1.3 seconds (seeing as how it costs 35 energy and the effect lasts 5 seconds). I would much rather have as slow of a thrown weapon as possible for more damage when I do have to deadly throw.

Just throwin' my frustrations out there.

edit: for any of you who might have reading comprehension as some the first repliers obviously do, I AM A PVPER I PLAN TO PVP AND WOULD PREFER THERE TO BE PVP REWARD SETS WITH OUT RESILIENCE.

Resilience simply does not yield a lot of benefit to a rogue. 5.2% mitigation against a target with 20% crit for 200 points of resilience? no thanks. There are simply a myriad of other ways to deal with/avoid focus fire to where its not worth it to gimp other stats.

Go get the PvE set loaded with AP and see how long you last with 7000 HP, then come back. I have a feeling you would have changed your mind by then.

Yea you're pretty dumb. The PvP set is made for PvPers, and PvPers use resilience to survive in PvP. If you want crit/AP, get tier 4. All of the PvP sets have resilience.

You completely missed my point that If i want a purely offensive set, I should be able to do it by pvping. What in hell does 7000 hp have to do with whether or not a set has resilience? Take all the resilience off of the current arena set, take the same itemlevel worth of stats and put it into crit/ap/agility. Obviously you have either reading comprehension issues, or are just poor at constructing counter-arguments.

Actually, I very rarely ever get targeted and when I do theres a myriad of ways to deal with it besides blowing tons of stats on meager damage mitigation. Theres another post floating around with some math behind resilience. The thread concluded something like 5.2% mitigation against a target with 20% crit at TWO HUNDRED resilience.

I have to agree with swift, the pvp set is made for pvpers not for outside use. Even the last pvp set wasnt that great for pve compared to others. I sugest getting tier 4 then enchanting everything up.

Actually, youre pretty dumb seeing as how what you just posted supports the very thing ive been arguing. All of the pvp rewards including the new Rank 13 armor sets, and the arena sets give an assload of resilience. One should be able to acquire non resilience based sets through pvp. Secondly, stacking resilience is very much in opposition to the idea and role of rogues. In a 5 on 5 Having signifigantly better capability to drop one target immediately has much more worth than a measly percentage of unreliable mitigation. Resilience can really be well worth it for any kind of defensive class, shamans, priests, paladins etc, but is not necessary or really that helpful to rogues in pvp.

I am a pvper. I am a skilled pvper. I do not plan to stack resilience as a rogue. It is ridiculous that as a pvper I am forced to stack resilience that I feel is an unneeded and relatively useless stat as a rogue.

I accepted a long time ago that as a rogue, I am going to die. No matter what. I might as well deal out as much damage before I do so. So why not give us 2 sets? I have stealth to keep me alive long enough to kill who ever I want, wich WILL be the healer of the other group. So once thats done, I'm pretty much dead. No matter how much health I have.

Just an fyi: Dead rogues don't do any damage.

read my edit. Resilience isnt the sole factor that keeps a rogue from dying, nor does it do it all that well.

Neither do rogues being rooted/feared/polyd/blind/stunlocked/frozen/disarmed/ attack power less. So just hand out 2 sets, if you dont want one then get the other. I'd rather do 1k+ more damage then live for 2 more seconds while rooted/feared/polyd/blinded/stunlocked/frozen/disarmed/ attackpowerless.

Its like picking wether you want to be a vegetable for the rest of your life or if you want them to just pull the plug and that your worst enemy will die along with you

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I plan on getting the entire set and I'm approaching it like this: "I have 5 pieces of armor to keep me alive and I can dedicate the rest of my slots and enchants to making clothies weep."

But I realize there are some people out there who forgot that armor is actually made to protect you and they just see them as wonky +damage slots.
