Don't know if meeks follows this thread, but he should peek at

and make adjustments as necessary on his DW fury guide and weapon enchants.

Yes.

Guide should be cleaner now, with a much clearer introduction, and the name should (potentially) cut down on new posts. If anyone wants to occasionally bump the leveling guides on the WoW forums, those are the most relevant for new players who're still confused about what they're doing.

without me having to read all 19 pages, and seeing that most of the first part of the guide appears to be pre BC, what are the kara base entry stats for arms and fury, and are there any updated guides that include the best way to spec to get into kara?

does anybody have any values for the bonus that tactical mastery provides for bloodthirst threat? I'm specced for dps/offtank, and trying to decide if I should have tactical mastery and use bloodthirst when tanking, or drop tactical mastery and not use bloodthirst except when i'm swimming in rage

note... it's not a question of tactical mastery and better dps talents, i'm keeping my 15 points in prot... i'd switch it for either anticipation or bloodrage+anticipation

Come again? Aside from a handful of anachronisms, the guide is completely current.

Have updated the first post with a little more in the quick reference, including rotations. Let me know if the Fury or PVE Arms rotations are inaccurate.

Well, I'm stacking Stamina and armor, and it's been working pretty well...
I'm the only tank on my guild that decided to go for that (stam/armor instead of avoidance),
and there are a bunch of tanks, so I didn't have the opportunity to MT ssc/tk.

The other tanks like avoidance better, so that the healers don't go oom, I'd like to ask:

Do you feel like that (healers ooming) is a problem with the stam/armor gear build?

I understood from your guide that it's always better to stack stam/armor than avoidance, but for how long? I mean, do you start balancing that at all after a certain amount of unbuffed hp? I have about 16k unbuffed, 17740 armor, 483 defense (uncrittable through resilience) 19% dodge, 16.5% parry and 19% block, i reckon my avoidance is a bit low...
So I'd really like to know if it's best to keep gearing for hp/armor, or if I should add some avoidance gear.

thanks,
it's a great guide xD

After a while you will find your avoidance will become pretty high on it's own once you get full T4 and most of the better filler peices,
When tanking I had by base

15008 hp
28% dodge
20% parry
26% block
17k armor
Mostly 4/5 T4, T5 shoulders, the pally badge vendor T5 equiv, kara/tk/ssc fillers

So you'll end up having to start gearing for more effective health since you don't get much mitigation from spell damage and lots of bosses deal more spell damage than melee damage, plus if you stack avoidance too high, you'll starve for rage you need to generate threat.

as fun as the new sticky title is, I worry that it is encouraging trolls by implying warriors are unusually peeved at running into questions easily answered by the stickies...

Racials: For tanking, Tauren and Humans.

Add orcs imo stun resist and axe expertise is very helpful.

Belves cant be warriors because intercept messes their hair up. Makes it all frizzy.
