Hrm, so will the update in 2.3 for Devestate to replace Sunder Armor put it higher on the scales than say Revenge? I may have misred but if it's going to put on the initial 5 sunders, then the threat for the first five devestates would be (W * .5) + (35 * S) + 301 right? So with say 200 damage from devastate you're getting 501, 536, 571, 606, 646 and then it caps out at there? so even with that low of damage that would make Devastate almost as usefull as revenge (though I guess revenge is still more threat per rage) particularly with it's 9 rage cost now.
So I guess the question is, would it now be better to put Devestate as higher priority than Heroic Strike? This is assuming of course that they do in fact combine the two threat values when using devestate, which I truly hope for.

So, when I saw that someone came up with an epic set for crush immune I decided I'd try and find one for pre-kara. I think I went a little over the top.
This set assumes you don't have any enchants and that you will put a Thick Dawnstone gem or one with greater defense in every socket.
Now with Thick Dawnstone gems in every socket (you will need 20 total), this set will give a total of +553 Defense Rating.
If my math was correct this will be approximately 230 Defensive skill added to the warrior's base defensive skill, which would max out at 350 without talents. This would be a total of 580 Defensive skill. o.O
These items are all attainable before Karazhan, Zul'Aman, or any of the 25 man raid dungeons.
I've heard/read a little about str vs crit vs hit, and it seems the general consensus on the guides says to get your hit up to 100 then start concentrating on str or crit. However I've noticed that I miss more than I would like my hit rating that low, and have tried to get it up further i with items and such.
I currently sit in zerker mode at 1612 unbuffed ap, 27.41%crit , and 189 hit rating. (I just upped it almost 40 w/ my latest addition of the bloodthirster's leggings, which downed my crit by almost 2% ... but the legs aren't gemmed or anything yet.!)
Any advice anyone has on making this toon better and more feared by mobs would be greatly appreciated!
One note: Your block value is visible on the character window if you mouse over your block % in the defenses pane. "A successful Block stops -X- damage." This number corresponds directly to your block value.
- I did do some cursory testing with the gnomer autoblocker and found it correlates.
Quick question on the Effective Health theory. You have that LPS is equal to 1 / (1 - mitigation). When I plug in some numbers directly, I'm always left with a number that is one decimal place too low (ie: 2.26 instead of 22.6). Does the LPS factor in the 10 health per stamina already, or am I missing something in the calculations?

no... but generally when you can get a 20 AP gem, you'll probably be able to get a 10 str gem instead. The counterpart to 8 str is 16 AP, in which case 8 str is better because of BoK
