Q u o t e:

That doesn't harm the usefulness of this resource. This information is still current and accurate. If there is a patch that changes something then we can talk but even then it'd have to be a significant change as this guide is very comprehensive.

Yeah, but the problem is that only the original poster can update it, and if that person is gone, the information will be dated sooner or later. It's kind of draconian of the mods, yes, and I'm surprised at the swiftness of the response (it goes to show they do in fact monitor our community... Cider's post gets unsticked a few days after he announces he's leaving? I don't believe in coincidence), but I do understand where they are coming from. I immedietly copied and pasted the full text of the guide when I saw Cider was leaving because I figured the unsticky was coming

Ah, I didn't even notice the DW Fury Gear list got dropped as well.

Ya know, one of the thing I miss mosts about Everquest is that each class usually had an independant of the game company site where alot of folks congregated to discuss the class. Too bad that hasn't happened for this game.

Cider- I have 2 questions that you did not answer in your original post:

If an ability crits- how is the threat factored?
Ex: Shield Slam crits for 1000 (2x the normal amount)
the formula is threat = (innate threat value) + (dmg component)
but in the event of a crit, does the total threat jump by a factor of 2, or just the dmg component?

You listed the main aggro-producing abilities and their values. My question pertains to an unorthodox tanking rage dump - being Bloodthirst. The up-front value of damage directly represents the threat produced, but are the following heals threat-free or incur the usual 1/2 value from healing?

You can't stop the love train, baby.

Let C = 2 <---- crit multiplier, replace with 2.2 or other value if a yellow attack talented with impale

The damage-based component of the threat from an ability is multiplied by C in the case of a crit.
