Why the decision to add a full new area to an existing city before finishing one that's almost done?
Weeeeellll, the officials in stormwind showed the king of IF a few big sacks of gold and the King jumped on the money train. We all know how much dwarves love gold. :P

There are several areas in Azeroth that have yet to be completed. This is not to say that we never intend on revisiting some of these places. It's all a matter of timing and finding a way to fit in some of our older ideas with some of our upcoming content.
For instance, the Stormwind Harbor makes sense now to provide the Alliance quick access to Northrend beyond flying to Menethil Harbor. Just the same we're opening the Orgrimmar Arena to put it to good use for some new challenges in Wrath of the Lich King.
You may well see other areas in Azeroth of which we've yet to make use come to life some day.
The head of the lost-and-found has been reported missing.

Have faith my friend. Ironforge still has plenty of life and space left to it and I wouldn't be suprised if it's used for something major at some point besides just a hub like it is right now. Stormwind is just getting it's attention right now because of the harbor.

With the 'good uses' that arena has brought so far, I'm sickened by the proximity of those words.
Please don't make Orgrimmar arena part of the arena system we know and hate. I have faith that you won't, or it would have been patched in like ruins of lordaeron arena. Just don't make it bad, is all I ask :).

Old Ironforge tram to Northrend.
I'm sure Blizzard would find a way to force that into the storyline. Hasn't stopped them before.
I'm under the theory that the boar god Agamaggan didn't die to an army of Legion demons, but the same 10 demons on a 10 second respawn time. If Quel'Danas is any indication of a large scale conflict.

Seriously, I don't think GMs really appreciate having to teleport stuck people out of there; while this can be avoided if you're careful, I've also seen the disoriented newbie who ended up in there on a prank before. :p

Old Ironforge isn't Old IF because the dwarves blocked it up for some reason. It's Old IF because that was what IF was going to look like originaly. Then the Devs changed their minds and remade it and just didn't take out the code. Old IF is just garbage code that was never ment to go into the game.
