Hello,

I was wondering if someone might have some information about when or how we might be able to get a netherdrake flying mount. I think a safe bet is that it will have something to do with the Netherwing Faction, but who knows could be another way. I know there has been talk of drops from raids so that is also covered. A slight issue I have is that in 10+days is that after 3 months of arena matches, the rumor is that the top rated players will be able to recieve purchase an armored Netherdrake mount. If this is not true, I appologize for my ignorance.

If this is true, however, I think it is somewhat unfair that those of us who do not do arena matches are left out on this. Before people bite my head off on this, I am in no way trying to say that the people doing the arenas will not be earning that netherdrake, the cross server battlegroups will ensure tough competition, and see to it that not many are available. Now, for all of the talk and "suggestions" from pvp players on having access to better quality gear, I think as a pve player I am allowed the same courteousy. Not trying to start a flame war out of this, just want to know if there is some way for others to get this type of a mount. Whether it is being given the opportunity to start earning more rep with the Netherwing if that is how it is done or at the very least a hint of what we can expect in the future. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There's a PvE and a PvP Netherdrake. The PvP one is from the arena, while the PvE one is rumored to come from grinding Netherwing faction (much like the Wintersaber Trainers)

My reply is same as yesterday

Q u o t e:

GMs are avoiding this kind of topic because if they start saying that the drake exists already, people will starting asking how to get and they will have to give clues.
So if they do that, a lot of netherdrakes will start appearing on the realms. so, they will not say how to get it before someone gets and start saying to everyone.
I have been looking for how to get rep past neutral with netherwing and if it will be a waste of time and/or money.
so i think that we don't have to ask the GMs and start looking for the drake everywhere, including on the twisting nether.

Someone posted a CM reply form the Euro forums saying that the quest line isn't complete yet and will be finished in an upcoming update.

Yup, and here's the link and translation (as it is in french):

http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=121332539&postId=1223316729&sid=2#34

"To clarify the situation, Netherdrake (fast) will be an arena reward when the season will begin. A normal netherdrake will also be available from a questline, which will be implemented in a next update. Note that this one will have a different skin (not as the arena one)."

My french is horrible, but I got a relative who is fluent to translate, and she came up with pretty much the same translation.

so pretty much this quest line is gonna end up being a slap in the face, grinding rep for a slow mount? Netherdrake or not, if I spend countless hours to grind rep it better be atleast 280%

I would guess the PvE would be incorporated with Netherwing reputation somehow. Hopefully, it'll be a long quest line, instead of everyone and their mother getting one within a week.

according to the translation, the arena one will be of epic quality or 310, and the pve one being slow, this is what I get from it, I'm working on my own translation atm so I'll find out in a sec.

EDIT:

rapide being fast so... according to this, it looks like the pve one will be 60%

It'll probably involve a lot of rep grinding and difficult heroic instances. The rep grinding is tedious but easy; heroic instances are 5 man raiding. Don't expect everyone to have one any time soon.

that would really piss me off to find out the non arena mount isn't atleast 280... that would actually be the most ridiculous thing since normal flying mounts being 60%..

60%? I seriously doubt it. Fast probably means 310% compared to 280%.

Google FTW:

Q u o t e:
our to clarify the whole, Drake of Nothing *rapide* will be indeed a reward available when the arena seasons are launched. Drake of Nothing (normal) will be also available via a series of searches which will be deployed in a forthcoming update. Besides this one will have an appearance different from that of its counterpart acquired via the arenas.

so, the "fast"(or swift) will be awarded in arena and the "normal"(because its probably not from arena or whatever) will come in the next patch(wait 6 months for it). The difference between the 2 mounts will br the looking

Weird, I know I posted about this last Thursday. Well anyway, the armored Netherdrake will be available through the arenas as a reward, and a Netherdrake that has a distinctly different appearance from the armored Netherdrake will be available through a quest line which has not yet been implemented. It's likely that it will be implemented with the next major content patch.

They're both epic flying mounts, just to clear up any confusion on their speed.

so it is, so it's always been

there isn't a clarification on the normal = 60% thing, but its the most logical assumption (normal could also be normal epic IE 280, while the fast is 310, but not likely.)

Incase anyone wants to read the rest of that thread there is a translation tool of the whole thing and links should keep translating it all.

Very cool, are they both +280, or is one 280 and the other 310?
