People need to learn basic reading comprehension.

Here's your sign.

For those forced to spirit rez and take durability because they got killed on the 3 tempest keep islands, then I feel for you and hope this doesn't happen to me. Half my bags are filled with gear.... just imagine the repair bill for that.

Q u o t e:

Wow irony for the win. If you die inside the instance you are 100% correct, you that res at the GY once you release. The OP and this thread isn't concerned with dying inside. They issue being discussed is that being killed OUTSIDE in which case you do NOT automatically rez once you release. You are left as a spirit and therefore cannot run back to you corpse and are forced to take a spirit rez.

You really should read the whole thread before making comments like this after berrating people for making "stupid" posts.

Um, maybe it's done differently in Netherstorm, or on pvp servers, I don't know.

The other day, I was questing on the Netherwing Ledge in Shadowmoon Valley, an area only accessible by flying mount. I died and when I released I was standing alive at the GY by the Sanctum of the Stars. No res-sickness, no armor durability loss other than the normal 10% from the death.

So, maybe outdoor deaths on pvp servers involving floating land were made more challenging, who knows?

Ya know, when a priest MC's you into lava you take 10% dur dmg, is 25% that much of a big difference? Really you can do the same thing back to them if you could bring more people there... don't really see the OP's point other than: "Dying at place X hurts more than dying else where, make it the same." Now you understand the extra penalties of dying at Tempest Keep, if you go there you risk them. Maybe, as some suggested you should have rolled PvE. Personally i think I enjoy PvE more than I would enjoy PvP as I enjoy running around at 25% health because I can take just one more mob before bandaid time.

0 = ln[exp(2*i*Pi)] = ln[exp(I*Pi)^2] = 2*ln[exp(I*Pi)] = 2*i*Pi

Add a gy to the island.

Even if his group came out and helped, one of those teams will end up being forced to spirit res. You people that enjoy ganking, this could end up being you, and i'm pretty sure not a single person in this thread is wanting to pay 15g for a one-time pvp encounter. You think it's just that easy, that you can get your group to come out and res, or come out and fight the group that just killed you. But like I said, one of those groups will end up dying, and if there's no res available for your group, it's spirit res or wait for a friend to fly over

Oh.. and good luck convincing a guild member to drop what he's doing, fly out to Shadowmoon and take a chance flying over to the island, when there's a 10+ group waiting to attack.

Q u o t e:
No. 1 reason not to post on the board about ganking. One moron will start flinging sh1t at you and the rest of the lemmings will follow shortly.

Also get the revange on the dumbass and camp his a$$ for couple hours.

Q u o t e:
Get the flying ghost mount from the Ethereal faction.

I'm going to risk being an idiot and ask if that's a joke or not.

Always remember that when Rev was at a level where ZG/AQ20 or MC experienced players would have had alot of trouble keeping up with them. Gear is a factor, but so is skill, raid experience, etc.

I believe those of us whose opinion is QQ uinderstand this, we just don't care. Oh noes not 15 whole gold. Personally the 1500g I spend lvling engineering to 361 hurts more. I know those people on a PvP server who get ganked on that island have to spirit res. I just don't react the way you do. I am just amused that the believe the game should change because they got forced to spirit res. Furthermore, as I am on a PvE server, its not going to happen to me. My first time spirit ressing in outlands will probably be due to dismounting (by mistake or with purpose) while flyin through the twisted nether.
Edit: To put it simply I know the issue is getting forced to spirit res, not getting killed, I just find this amusing and a good way to stave off boredom as I wait for a tank to log on.

Q u o t e:
as for rolling on the server, i did so whjen i made my first rogue after hitting 24 or so and getting vanish... and being a noob wanted to be in a place to make good use of it. i liked the added pressure while lvling and enjoyed the rare large scale world pvp that soemtimes popped up (like minor skirmishes around ashenvale and STV when the server was still young).

Transfer to PvE then.

Halaa and the arenas in Hellfire are always active on moderately populated servers. And there's raids on places like XR several times a day most days. The only difference is, the people involved are involved because they want to be involved and no one can be forced to be involved if they don't want to be.

And of course there's also Battlegrounds and Arenas as well.

The only thing you don't get on a PvE server is ganked. Everything else is just as it is on a PvP server. If you want a fight, just flag and hit something to broadcast it to local defense. A fight will come to you in no time.

Joshua: Would you like to play a game?
Horde: How about Alterac Valley?
[Loses 9 of 10 games]
Joshua: A strange game. The only winning move is to AFK. How about a nice game of Arathi Basin?

Certainly puts the rest of your post into context in light of the thread topic.

This thread is not for you. Move along. Nothing for you to see here.

Q u o t e:
I'll say it again. You do not have the explicit right to enter an instance whenever you want with 0 penalty.

No one has a problem with "entering an instance on a PVP server with 0 penalty." They expect there to be a possibility of penalty, but the problem lies in the severity of the penalty.

Forcing someone to rez is extremely common, corpse camping is the same. Even forcing someone to rez after a really long run back to their corpse, and then corpse camping is something most people are expecting. But forcing a spirit rez? That's crossing the line.

Hate to say it, but there's a lot of trolling on both sides. Yeah, I realize PvP tends to cause more of the heated arguments, but jeez...

Ok, here's the deal. We plan on implementing a method by which dying on Arcatraz will rez you automatically at the nearest graveyard, much the same as if you died in the instance. While we like these places to be remote and dangerous, we do not want to make such a huge impediment which effectively becomes insurmountable. That way, players could still conceivably guard an instance's entrance on a PvP server, yet the opposition could rally a counter-attack in a reasonable amount of time and at reasonable cost.

So...anybody need a massage or some fresh air or a calming cup of tea?
