The initial indications we have are that this is a test case. They'll consider additional hero classes when they see how this one goes.
If you place an infinite number of monkeys in a room full of typewriters, you'll eventually produce Shakespeare.
When you're short on monkeys you get forum trolls.

Well that sucks. Death KNights are lame and should be pally only.
I dont know about you guys but playing a death knights doesnt sound even remotely cool to me.

In all honesty there should be at least 1 new hero class released if possible to reduce the class imbalance that the DK will create if is the sole new hero class whom everyone will want to play. This was actually a question I wish I could have brought up at the Q&A panel, along with whether or not Blizzard has plans to add level 80 content to Outlands to get some more use out of it rather than Outlands becoming just another leveling zone.

sorry blizzard but i wont wait around for 4 years for you guys to get around to a hunter-so-called-hero UNhero class that will make me shelf my main to play. this model you are following leads to many classes left out in the cold. what if it takes you 4 expansions to get out a caster hero class? or a rogue type?

Next one really ought to be a healer, for the same reason the first one is a tank.
I'm thinking if the next expansion after Lich King deals with the Emerald Dream, it would be a good time to add an Archdruid / Keeper of the Grove hero class (Furion) that could be a healer.
Other healing optioins would be Farseer or Shadow Hunter, or maybe Goblin Alchemist.

I only hope that the information is released instead of sat on for a while. Ive noticed that theres a good amount of people that play on multiple alts. Id hate to level up a few toons, then have to delete one because theres no room left. If I had info early enough, I can decide what character to level, and which one to leave be.

Thus implying that the only "hero class" for the foreseeable future is inherently evil? That's the one thing I don't like about death knights. I wish Blademasters would come out shortly thereafter. Then at least you could choose to roll a good or evil hero class.

So my $12 a month isnt enough for you to put more heroes in patches? I need to buy more $40 expansions spaced a year apart to get the heroes? You really need EXPANSIONS to do this? Smashing good timing, at that rate, we will see 7 more hero classes by 2014.
Please tell me that was an error of speech when you said "future hero class additions will be made in expansions"
