At least not for another year. I keep hearing all of these rumors about a Q1 '08 expansion and I'm just not excited about it. The majority of players haven't even seen past the first half of Kara, let alone explored all of the content BC has to offer. And I'm sitting in a progression guild that will easily require 5 or 6 months before a full BT clear. Do I want to jump right into another level grind after that? Actually, no. And I don't want to alienate potential new WoW players by imposing a level 80 requirement before they're able to group with anyone...on an MMORPG. Listen to your casuals and casual raiders--they constitute 90% of your userbase. We are not prepared.

If you haven't seen the first half of Kara, then I doubt you really tried all that hard.

If this is paradise, I wish I had a lawnmower.

So having too much content, not being able to experience EVERYTHING the game has to offer because there are just too many things too see, is a bad thing?

Way to focus-fire on one point there. It doesn't appear that you've seen anything past Gruul's, btw. Are you ready to spend six months clearing SSC, TK and BT and then be told your gear will be the equivelant of lvl 71 greens again? I'm not.

That's not a fair statement, perhaps a player has lots of alts and has concentrated on instances and faction w/ his alts. Though, if the focus was Kara, then I would agree w/ you.

Complaining because you want to see more when you haven't seen hardly anything is a bad thing. Far too many people hit 70 and say "Ok, now what? Can I have another expansion?"

I think beyond this point any new expansions are gonna have to make levelling easier if they continue to add more levels, ESPECIALLY if they add new classes or races.

Since they cannot make the world dynamic, WoW needs to expand or die as people tire of the same game play over and over.

First off, we haven't announced what the expansion will be as of yet nor have we even given a particular time frame of when we expect to release it. The most anyone has at this point is that we'd like to release one every year.

Secondly, an expansion release is not going to dictate the rate at which you personally choose to play the game. If you and your guildmates and friends aren't through Karazhan yet, then you certainly don't have to do anything more than concentrate on that aspect of the game until you are through. How fast or slow you get through content is completely up to the choices you make.

I think there are a lot of players that feel they need to keep up with the 'Joneses' so to speak to feel successful in game, but in reality, success is how you and your guildmates and friends personally measure it. If you are meeting the goals you set out for yourself, then you are right on target. If you are not, then make a new strategy to get yourself there. Setting goals in game can be much the same as setting a goal in real life. If you think about what you want, plan for it, and then go for it, it's going to come your way. It may take time, but it will happen. Most important, enjoy the journey, more paths will be available to you as you go along. They will be waiting for you and aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I hate to say it, Neth, but tell that to the people who never saw Naxx, like me, because everyone jumped into Outland. :(

Unfortunately though, the older instances are barely accessible to those that are leveling due to the lack of players at those levels (ie. people are grinding straight to Outland).
If there is another expansion (and thus another level cap presumably) what is to stop people from zipping past Kara?

Alright but still, there are alot of people who haven't cleared even half of the new raids yet. It just seems that you can get alot more milage out of bc then we have tapped yet.

Remember Naxx? One of the best designed raids ever. It would have been even better though, if bc wasn't released for another year so that more guilds could see it.

Now, an expansion that didn't add new levels, thus not making old content obsolete, would be just fine. Adding content without replacing the old would be swell.
