A level 50 was summoned to Outland, apparently, and told all his friends, many of whom have sent me random whispers begging to be summoned. I thought you had to be level 58 to come here. So, is summoning people to Outland "legal"?

That's a good question. As far as entering Outland, the only requirement being level fifty-eight, that I know of, is going through the Dark Portal. Sorry I can't elaborate much more. :\

If you encounter players in Outlands that are not of the proper level requirement (58), please do submit a petition with the appropriate information included: character name, level, and perhaps location, etc. A Game Master will be happy to look into matters for you and proceed as the situation deems necessary. :)

Syndri, just as clarification, level fifty-eight is an entire requirement for Outland? If it is, you might want to forward to the Quality Assurance team that characters below fifty-eight can get in through portals/summons. :)

Oh, come now; give your fellow players a bit of credit! :D

This issue is already being investigated, actually, thanks to reports such as the one above. In the interim, though, it's best to petition a Game Master should you cross such players who are not of the correct level to access Outlands territories.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to in terms of giving them credit... But oh well. I wasn't exactly sure on your response, because I thought you might only be thinking of the Dark Portal, and as such I requested further clarification. Thank you, though, for the additional information into this issue. :)

(Also, it's nice to meet you. You might also want to learn the transitive property, as that's what I believe your post about knowing Auryk and such was. ;) )

Edit: The comment about the transitive property in case you overlooked my greeting post. I, personally, like to learn about mathematics, and as such I figured that other might as well, in case they didn't know. Sorry if you thought that I was being rude. I do enjoy your presence here, and I believe that you'll do a good job, Snydri. :)

(Don't worry about his snide remarks, he excludes himself anyway. You are doing simply amazing job)

I wasn't being snide, if I appeared that way. I was merely providing clarification. I also didn't state that she was doing a bad job. What exactly do I exclude myself from, anyhow? I'm confused. :(

Thanks for the clarification. I've submitted a GM ticket :-) I didn't think it was legal to go to Outland, which is why I refused all summon requests. Just in case I could get in trouble :-)

Which is perfectly acceptable and well appreciated. :)

I come bearing an update in relation to the original concern brought to light in this topic. As I mentioned previously, the matter of players below level 58 being able to access Outlands by means of summons was being actively looked into by our staff. Through luck or coincidence, or perhaps a bit of both, a conclusion was recently reached by such staff members.

For clarification and for future reference: as it currently stands, players level 57 or below can be legitimately summoned beyond Azeroth's borders; if their presence in Outlands was accomplished by means of a warlock summoning spell, this is considered to be working appropriately. The level restriction, however, still applies for the Dark Portal.

We successfully had a 34 shaman heal our party during several quests in the warmaul camp in nagrand. The aggro range is suprisingly not that bad.
