Q u o t e: Update: We found a fix for this, the problem isn't actually the wow.exe file in your warcraft directory, it's a version of it inside the base-enUS.MPQ file.
To fix it, you need a 2.05 retail version of the base-enUS.MPQ file. A link will be posted here once we get it uploaded, feel free to post a link on this thread if you manage to upload it. Download it, and overwrite your base-enUS.MPQ file, in your Burning Crusade\Data\enUS folder.
For reference, the file sized are:
old base-enUS.MPQ: 16,471,970
retail base-enUS.MPQ: 16,551,051
Tried this, but now I get a different error.
Q u o t e:
The file "Data\enUS\Documentation\Layout\Styles.css" in archive "C:\Program Files\Burning Crusadex\Data\enUS\base-enUS.MPQ" could not be opened, because an error 2 occurred
Anyone able to upload a 2.05 styles.css?
edit: nevermind, what I tried was replacing the wow.exe in the base mpq with the 2.05 one. Will wait on the full base download. :)

Q u o t e: Try running the WoW repair utility found in the WoW directory. If that doesn't work, start uninstalling lol, don't waste time.
Ive run the repair utility 4 times so far. Just for kicks, I deleted the base-enUS.mpq file ENTIRELY and ran the utility...and the repair utility verified that everything was fine, despite the fact that nothing works. Its a worthless piece of crap.
Im trying to get a guildie to upload a 2.0.5 version of the base file now.

well my DLer is also doing the same thing with the tracker and fire wall...im stuck at 29% at the momment..so i dunno...im going to wait it out....if all else fails and i get an error of some sort....i got file front and file planet on standby :)
Thanks folks - been relying on the beta client for my wow fix whilst overseas (had the expansion delivered to my GF and she read me the key over the phone :) ), as the shipping costs to get it over here are a bit steep. I'll get the CDs soon, but this helps for now.
