so yeah I guess before I never really liked the playstyle of disc, but I can't say that anymore. i've been having a whole lot of fun on my disc priest compared to my shadow priest. tonight we lost like 70 or so rating to a lock/druid team. I think we were genuinely outplayed, but I still feel like I was doing all that I could as a shadow priest to win the fight, but I always ran into mana issues.

and I think Blizzard made it pretty clear that they aren't going to be changing shadow priests for awhile... so I'd think that this is going to be the state they're in for months to come.

I'm not really making this post as some sort of way to shatter every shadow priest's dreams of PvPing... I still think that shadow priests are "viable", but *%!%... it takes a hell of a lot more than what it does for a disc priest.

maybe I just need a break, but I've been sooooo emo lately about playing my shadow priest. actually i've been emo about this game's PvP in general. everything is such a melee zergfest with druids that it's not fun anymore.

I hate hate hate HATE dispel resists, I can't tell you how many games I've lost because of them, and that's also why this game will never be truly competitive. lolrng!!

but I'd just like to say to everyone, thanks for all of the support and whatnot about my shadow priesting, but I think I'm pretty much done at this point. there's not much use in doing something if you don't like it, right? I don't think playing my shadow priest should be a chore.

and if anyone is wondering, no my disc priest or resto shaman will probably not become my mains. I think I probably just need another break from this game... or I'll just go permanently casual until some really good FPS comes out or something.

god that was a bad rant. I don't really want to read it over and make it all professional and awesome like beckon's post (I know speakeasy would've liked that ^^)

so i guess the bottom line is that, i'm like, done with shadow priest. I wish blizzard would have paid more attention to their players and done something.

he's a beast, i'm SO glad he transferred back too. 2v2 was getting boring >.< we schedule games with a top team, then they never play us again :/

You're right, this game will never be truly competitive as long as RNG exists.

Unfortunately that is what this game is based on.

That being said, it is entirely possible for RNG to completely take control of the game out of your hands, and as long as that happens this game will not be truly competitive like other games (Starcraft, DOTA, FPS, etc).

while my ratings suck, the fact i just had a rogue in greens and blues beat me just because i couldn't cast anything is sad and anoying
