During the online phase of the tournament, there are no restrictions in regards to what add-ons players can use. For the live event, there are restrictions in place limiting players to the default UI and custom macros.

It's a great change. People who rely too much on focus frames and warnings will have some adjusting to do.

It was renamed to Maybe a few patches ago.

So do you mean that for the practice stage of the tournament addons are fine, but when the tournament actually begins, we are only limited to the default UI and macros?

OR

Do you mean the final events for the winners of the regions are limited to the default UI and macros?

Live event refers to the actual regionals you're trying to qualify for by placing top 4 in these qualifiers.

Focus Frames is not an addon. It is built into WoW...

"Curse of Tongues Impairs the Movement of my casting bar! PvP trinket should remove it!"

This is probably a good thing. The only mods i have that may affect my gameplay at all are Bongos2 and Quartz cast bar. It shouldnt be too big a deal rearranging my spells on the default bar. although i will miss my Insignia being in the middle of my screen real huge.

I thought "focus frame" referred to the character portrait of your focus target appearing separately on your screen with it's own cast-bar, like with X-Perl UI Frames.

If this is in the default UI, I missed the patch when it was added.

Since, 2.3 I believe blizz added in the Focus frame to the default UI, it does not display 100% of the time while active such as it does in X-Perl and the like. It does work the sam way however, only difference is you can only either see the target or the focus at any given time.

And uh ya... I guess I need to start practicing with no addons, since I'm running roughly 110mb addon memory usage atm...

I don't think that's a focus frame, just a hotkey to switch to your focus and make it your target. I find that detrimental, actually, I just use a focus and set macros to target my focus when a modifier is held.

Like:

#showtooltip Counterspell
/stopspellcasting
/cast [modifier:shift, target=focus] Counterspell; Counterspell

I'm not at home, so I don't know if I did that properly, but you get the idea. Setting macros like these for interrupts and CCs is pretty much all you need.

But I will SORELY miss Mik's Scrolling Battle Text, primarily for the "FINISH HIM!" Mortal Kombat sound I loaded for hitting 5 combo points on a target. Ah, Mik, you made the greatest mod ever. /salute
