The official forum for the 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament is now live! We are very excited to launch this Tournament that allows our players to lay down their skills and battle it out in the Arena for fun and prizes!
What does it take to get a response about group queues in battle grounds. Atleast come on and feed us aline about how it's being worked on and not just ignore it.

If this game was never intended to be balanced on small scales (as Blizzard has stated and you have affirmed), then why would they ever release something such as Arenas as their solution to end-game PvP?...where the entire focus is on smaller-scale PvP? Do you think that it was a good idea for Blizzard to state that something is not meant to be played in such a way (not-balanced around small-scale PvP) and then turn around and design an entire End-Game PvP System that forces everyone to do exactly that which is warned against?
Your PvP=FAIL, Blizzard
My main problem with this game is class balancing issues.
I believe that this game was started as a PVE game and therefore all of the classes/specs were balanced around those ideas....and then when people start wanting to do real PVP, those clear class imbalances come into play. I believe that these are issues that could be fixed with a myriad of well thought out suggestions in different class forums. However, Blizzard has decided that the almighty dollar (10 million accounts per month anyone?) is more important to stretch out as far as they can....meaning that they are leading people on to say that WotLK will be the end all be all fix to all of your concerns and worries regarding this game, so you better buy it.
I don't know about you guys, but after seeing what blizzard has done with class balancing over the last few years I have very little faith that they are really going to actually fix things....I mean, lately blues have even been posting about how not all specs are viable for crying out loud!! And that they are ok with that!!! Spriests/Feral/Moonkin/Ret etc., what, you want to be competitive against "parent classes?" LOL. So says Blizzard. Hybrids are forced into 1 role in this game.
There is no reason. NO REASON why blizzard can't fix the clear class issues before WotLK, unless of course they are just trying to drag on our subscriptions with empty promises.... Blizzard claims to have 10 million accounts per month, each paying anywhere from $11---$15 every month. How easy would it be to simply hire more people to focus on ONLY class balancing?
I'm not going to lie, I have definitely spent a lot of time lately looking at Warhammer Online, and I've gotta say, those guys have PvP and Balance at the Very heart of what they are trying to do with that game. According to friends that are already in Beta, every class is very pvp-viable no matter how they want to be played. Oh, and the gear dependance of WoW that makes you grind for hours and hours on end? Non-existant in Warhammer. That's right, Warhammer is a traditional MMO that is not going to be completely dependent on gear. Fights are fought and won depending on skill and coordination...I thought that's what WoW was going to be as well, sadly it took me 3 years to realize the truth.
Part of myself is angry at blizzard for ignoring all of the problems with their pvp systems and class balance issues, but another part of myself is happy that someone else has created a game from the ground up that is focused around PvP. Also, the PvE in Warhammer fits AMAZINGLY well into the game. Which makes sense, because I would think that it would be easier to build PvE around a PvP game instead of what blizzard has tried to do with WoW.
If any of the things I've said in this post make sense to you, why not google warhammer online and see for yourself what I'm talking about? If so, maybe I'll see you in beta.

I have to agree with most of the comments here.
Arena is NOT PVP.
I simply cannot understand why Blizz would base an MMO PVP system so strongly around a fishbowl duel. And make the best PVP gear in the game come from there, to boot. It's clear that they've done everything that they could think of to make open world PVP impossible, except for ganking in STV on PVP servers. Attack a city? Please. Get stomped by millions of level 65 elite guards that suddenly appear from nowhere. At least DKs were finally removed.
IMO, the only true PVP environment available now is Alterac Valley. Blizzard has lost sight of the fact that they originally designed an MMO. Not a regurgitation of Doom.
Ad hominem responses to this post will only demonstrate its validity.
