Lol Drysc made a post about how they wouldn't increase the cost of items. Infact, he said that the cost would most likely be decreased around expansion. So they decrease the honor gained insted... What a load of crap. It's essentially the same thing!

This was a stupid change.

This is totally outrageous.

I have maxed out AV tokens but I have accumulated less than 1/2 the honor I require to purchase my GM weapon. If anything honor costs should go DOWN and token costs UP to be fair.

This just punishes the people who don't PVP 24/7 and rewards those who do.

AT LEAST allow people to turn in tokens for a substantial amount of honor! This should be obvious!

At the old rate, people were going to be in a full GM set, including Weapons, in about a month and a half, whereas the old system had them getting it in about 6mo of almost religiously obsessive grinding. So now it'll take a little over 2 months. Big deal.

Q u o t e:

I had to double check on some information first so pulled it briefly and put it back up.

Also, the information on the reduction of costs in the future is still correct at this point in time.

That's not the point. It's now pointless for "casual gamer" to even try for these items now. By the time they would reach the appropriate number of honor points needed to buy the gear they want, TBC will be released and it's all for naught anyways. Go ahead and flame me for this, but this is all because the 13's and 14's kept QQing.

Trolls, you may now begin feeding.

Poor form!

Why does it matter if we can gear up in a month? In a month it won't mean anything. Another PvPer hit. And to lie about it as well. Oi. Also why you're tinkering with the server, think you could remove the god-awful lag in BGs, 10 second fireballs are hard to work with.

You could of come up wit ha better way of handling this. Why not a daily honor cap, or daily dimishing returns on honor.

Poor form!

What can I say? I am so pissed off it's not even funny!

It was sad enough that I was going to have to spend 15+ hours of BG'ing to get 1 piece of Field Marshall set gear. Now you're telling me I'll have to spend 20+ hours to get it? Heck, I only need to spend 6-8 hours clearing MC twice to average 1 epic or more. You're telling me that PvP gear is 2.5 to 3 times more difficult to get than teir1 set items?

You are letting honor-train numbers, scewed as they were before and now, impact people who can't PvP in a custom for 8+ hours a day.

Blizz, you've nerfed me into deciding to go play another MMORPG. Smooth move. Another customer lost.

Q u o t e:
So let me see if I have this straight:

One week into the new honor system and you guys nerf it. Meanwhile, if I get into a decent guild I can get epics like candy.

Is it a requirement that Blizzard employees hate PvPers and do they in turn have to submit a monthly compiled list of suggestions on how to further alienate that player base?

You guys take the cake....

Damn, where is this candy? And how do you do it alone, again?

By the way, Guild Wars is somewhere else. This is a PVE game with PVP tacked on. Get used to it.

As stated earlier, only the folks who spent almost NO time away from PVP were getting items. I PVP'd 5 hours last night (server was down 1, I took 1 off, got a wasted AV game that didn't give me honor due to Archimonde crashing midgame) - I made 3k honor, now it will be 2k honor. Let's see...

Chestpiece 20k honor - 50 hours of AV - hundreds of hours AB/WSG.

If I play the game like a full time job (which I did over the weekend, thankfully, because I saw something like this coming), I can get one piece of armor a week. 4 weeks til expansion - hmm...

The MOST hardcore players will hardly even get a complete set any more if they didn't get a jump on the honor system before the change.

The gear isn't even on par with tier 2, most organized groups roll tier 3 now. PVPers will never compete with raiders ... in PVP!

WTF?!

So in the last 7 days you've managed to bug my class' abilities and nerf us compared to the rest, you then throw us a bone with the ability to get some decent ~T2 gear, then take that away from us.

I wonder about this honor run this last week. I have earned a whopping 7k honor because I can't live in this friggin' game like some of the people have this past week to get this gear. So you bend over the casuals again. Thank you for helping your casual base again Blizzard. You know, the ones you say this game was made for.

*Sigh* My guild has stopped most 40 man raids, so no chance of getting much there (I do have t1 and some t2 over the course of the last year), and this was my chance to really pick up some items before next month. Guess I should just cancel till BC comes out because the last shred of getting anything cool before then just went out the window.

Thank you for the useless marks of honor that will be deleted since I am capped at 100, and dont have enough honor to buy anything with it. BTW, I wasnt going for GM gear in the first place.

My god these forums suck.

Every time you post a nerf warlocks thread, we buff warlocks more!

I understand why this had to be done, one week in and my priest has three pieces (45k honor) and my warrior has one piece (12k honor).

It does hit my warrior pretty hard, since alliance queues are so long.

I don't agree with you about that. I was able to grind 30,000 honor in two days over the weekend. If honor stayed where it was i could get a full GM set in about 2 weeks. I Think that the initial system trivialized it too much. And that some kind of an adjustment was in order.

I raid as well as pvp. For those of you QQ'ing raiders have it easy. I have cleared BWL 78 times according to dkp. Thats 76 week in an instance And i still have yet to see certain drops, because its a percentage.

In the current PvP set up. Its a garuntee. play this much, get this much honor, get this item. I think right now PvP has the benefit of garunteed in game rewards for time spent.

And what you want is... epics for no effort or skill? It takes months to obtain a full set of epics from raid dungeons - this from time spent learning encounters and waiting for loot drops. With the honor system pre-hotifx, any person, even people who had just hit 60, could gain tier 2.5 quality epics in maybe 1 month if they were motivated. This is "right" how?

You do realize in less than 2 months all the equipment will be voided by greens in TBC.

Of course you didn't.
