I ran into some issues healing post patch and I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light. At some point when my tank would engage the mobs my keys would go dead and i couldn't cast anything.
My healing workflow:
i have my 3 heals (flash, down ranked holy, and max holy) on my action bar 2-4.
when tank goes into engage, I hit 2 and wait to see the mob toe to toe and then click on his portrait.
I do not have usually have the tank selected as a target in a five man. Sometimes i'll have a mob targeted so I don't accidentally start a heal on a toon that i didn't mean to or accidentally auto target a mob marked for CC that gets loose and hits me.
... so heal goes off, i hit 2 again and click on the portrait I want to heal easy as pie. Or so it was before the patch.
Issue:
I would try to hit 2 for my heal then click on the toon and nothing would happen. I would hit escape to release my target and escape would do nothing. I would cycle through my function keys but still i couldn't cast a spell. This seemed to happen whether or not I had a mob targeted to start or not. It also didn't happen on every pull.
even after the wipe and i Soul Stoned, i couldn't rez or heal anybody..
at some point... i would regain control and all my heals would go off as if nothing was wrong
My macros:
I use the below macros to help me make use of my trinkets and abilities on longer cooldowns that i always forget to blow in long fights.
none of the casts trigger global cooldown except the last heal.
I have the /stopcasting in there because the macro seemed to hang after the /cast divine illumination.
I took it out and it looked like it was working for a bit... but then wham, right after a pull i can't heal.
the freaky part is, i can't even hit the escape key to get to the interface menu...
This is how i've always healed and those macros seemed to work fine before the patch. Can anybody tell me what's going on?
I renamed my WTF folder and disabled all my add ons...
(not as if i wasn't gimped already in magister's terrace already....)
Hmm, this actually smells a little buggy (as in, client/server issue - not a bug with your macro :) )
...but if you don't mind posting that macro on the UI/Macros forum, and explain what's going on - someone will surely verify if there is anything "wrong" with your macro (but it looks ok to me).
Might want to just cut/paste the exact macro you're using (either from in-game, or from your macros-cache.txt file in "WTF\Account\YOURNAME\") - just in case.
Thank you I'll try that.
But i would have thought that if it were a client server issue I would have lagged in same way.
There was never a noticeable lag and I was able to watch in horror, real time as my party racked up a repair bill from hell 'cause i couldn't drop a heal lol.
Thanks for the report, our UI specialist was able to use your macro to reproduce the issue and it is being worked on.

nice, my first reply from a blue,
i'm all growns up now
neways thanks for the reply,
if y'all can tell me what in the macro is causing the issue I can try to work around it!
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The same thing happened with me. Just a strange little addition though. I turned off my bluetooth keyboard and turned it back on and my interface unlocked.
If the Prairie Chicken quest taught me anything it is that sometimes looking stupid for long periods of time is rewarded.
Hortus has been somewhat negligent in acknowledging/pursing a fix for this bug when it only affected hunters (for the last couple of MONTHS), so maybe he'll accidently fix it for us when they do so for everyone else.
Or maybe they'll figure out how to leave it in for just hunters, instead. Ya never know.

To be fair he did say he could reproduce our bug way back in February. But yeah its April now and hes just ignoring the fact that we still have the problem.
Thankfully other people are starting to be affected by this too (sorry) because that means they'll actually fix it.
The reason for the insane representation numbers for druids in arena is quite simply because almost everyone who plays a druid is exceptionally good at their class.
