I'd like to add comments to the friends list, blacklist/warning for ninja's/abuse people more so for guild master (recruiting) reasons... perhaps a notepad... I understand the memory concerns involved, but even my RL notepad is getting worn.

Please make a larger Friend List, at the moment, i dont even use the Ignore list at all. I use my friends list to add them so i at least have a note of why they've actually upset me. Even if I didnt do this, 50 is much too small.

Yes please. My friends list is essentially a catalog of my experiences with other players. "Great Tank, did (Heroic)" or "Helped kill (Elite Mob)", etc. As you level and get into the nitty gritty of the game, there just isn't enough room.

make it the size of the population of the server, and give us the ability to ignore the opposing faction, so we dont have to see them spam emotes at us

I would like either a bigger friends list, or a better way to keep track friends or their alts. Right now, my different characters have different friends lists, and I have to log out and in to check if friends are on their alts. And I write down helpful people (nonfriends willing to pug with me, or use their profession for me etc) in a spiral notebook by the computer.
