EDIT: sorry - more medium than small, even if size doesnt matter!

Well, 1 more day for my acct to expire so I figured I'd post where Bliz might actually see it ;d I'm leaving because of RL reasons, but I will say that there are some areas where bliz has seriously neglected the game imo (and that makes it easier to quit) - these are mostly pvp related.

1) Class / spec balance - Warlocks were overpowered for a LONG time before they decided to do anything about it, even before arenas existed... Also, specs should be balanced (not saying it is easy, but there have been no attempts to do such) - I play a feral druid, and how long have we been neglected in terms of arena viability, where the good rewards are? Why not let prot warriors have pvp abilities? Taunt SHOULD change the target of enemy players imo, even if they can switch it back, you can save someone from a shadowbolt, for example. Let tanks also tank in pvp (i have a crapton of ideas, but I'll spare you guys). Every spec should have some pvp viability, even if it is not the optimal, it shouldnt be worthless (prot war/pally, arcane mage).

2) PVP battleground maps - **YOU KEEP IGNORING THIS SUGGESTION** - when asked about why there are only 4 battlegrounds, you say 'well to keep the queue times short'... omgidea: rotate 4 out of x battlegrounds every day or every week, OR have more than 1 map for each queued battleground. Why make 10x as much content for PVE when most people PVP close to as much as they PVE? Fail.

3) PVP is player vs player! Capture the flag? Down opposition bosses? These are interesting, but give us some damn -BATTLE-grounds! 10 vs 10, first team to 100 kills wins, and the map should be small enough that you don't have to run for 1 minute before any fighting. The resources in AV were a good start, but the map is still more about strategic zerging than PVP.

I'm just venting about the failed PVP model, which I only played because of the gear and because I could play for 30 minutes and accomplish something. I will say, I do think your PVE content is good overall, and the game is well worth my time playing. One small issue I have is there is no easy way to play with friends who just joined the game, apart from rerolling and keeping up with their leveling.

I might be back for WOTLK (if friends are still playing), so I'm keeping my stuff ;d
And people -will- miss me!

Can I have ur stuff too?

Oh, and that was an excellent BG idea, btw. Deadlocked WSGs suck, and a Battle-Royale style BG would make my day.

Also, having one place where you could queue up for all of them at once would be sweet. Maybe make it like the LFG tool.

Please dont come back for WotLK. YOu bought a PVE game for its PVP. As such you lose and deserve your tears.

What the hell is wrong with wanting the game's pve AND pvp to be good? I played both equally.

1) Class / spec balance - Warlocks were overpowered for a LONG time before they decided to do anything about it, even before arenas existed...

No. Warlocks were underpowered for a LONG time before that. They've also received numerous nerfs since the start of TBC. Every patch has included something.

Q u o t e:
Also, specs should be balanced (not saying it is easy, but there have been no attempts to do such) - I play a feral druid, and how long have we been neglected in terms of arena viability, where the good rewards are?

No. All specs should not be balanced around arena. Arenas are not the only are of play. I do not want good PvE specs touching PvP.

Q u o t e:
Why not let prot warriors have pvp abilities?

You mean PvP Arena abilities, don't you? Yeah, it would be nice, but I'm prot because I want to tank, not because I want to wreck havok in arenas.

Q u o t e:
Taunt SHOULD change the target of enemy players imo, even if they can switch it back, you can save someone from a shadowbolt, for example.

No.

Q u o t e:

No.

Q u o t e:
Every spec should have some pvp viability, even if it is not the optimal, it shouldnt be worthless (prot war/pally, arcane mage).

No. I don't want every spec equal across all areas. I want PvP and PvE specs. I want optimization. I want people who are dedicated to a certain area succeed in that area, regardless of their focus (Arena, BGs, Raiding, etc).

You keep saying it "it shouldn't" and "should" but never give any good reasons why. Desire is not a good enough reason. If it's because it's what you want as a customer, then you've already lost.

Q u o t e:
2) PVP battleground maps - **YOU KEEP IGNORING THIS SUGGESTION**

No, they haven't. They've directly addressed this question before.

Q u o t e:
- when asked about why there are only 4 battlegrounds, you say 'well to keep the queue times short'... omgidea: rotate 4 out of x battlegrounds every day or every week, OR have more than 1 map for each queued battleground. Why make 10x as much content for PVE when most people PVP close to as much as they PVE? Fail.

Um, no. When asked, they said they were working on changing the way BGs work. Instead of queuing for WSG, you queue up for a 10-man BG. They split the BGs up into 10-man, 15-man, and 40-man (from what I remember) and it will randomly select from a wider assortment of maps.

This is something they want to implement, but haven't finished yet. I don't see this as ignoring the question.

Q u o t e:
3) PVP is player vs player! Capture the flag? Down opposition bosses? These are interesting, but give us some damn -BATTLE-grounds! 10 vs 10, first team to 100 kills wins, and the map should be small enough that you don't have to run for 1 minute before any fighting. The resources in AV were a good start, but the map is still more about strategic zerging than PVP.

And they've stopped messing with AV... oh wait, they keep changing it every patch trying to address these very concerns.

Q u o t e:
I'm just venting about the failed PVP model, which I only played because of the gear[/quote and because I could play for 30 minutes and accomplish something.

Your goals are easily met by the current PvP model. Oddly enough, your suggestions do not match your goals. This leads me to believe you've put very little thought into them.

Q u o t e:
I will say, I do think your PVE content is good overall, and the game is well worth my time playing. One small issue I have is there is no easy way to play with friends who just joined the game, apart from rerolling and keeping up with their leveling.

There are numerous ways to play with friends who just joined. I've done it before, and I'm doing it again.

Next time, put some thought into what you are writing.

I think Blizzard could look to console matchmaking services in order to smooth out the Battlegrounds queues and add more content. For example, Bungie uses a random matchmaker that might see you capturing flags one game and holding territories in another. I think Blizzard could do something similar (including the ranking feature common to most console games) and this would allow them to implement as many PVP map types as they wanted.

Anyway, sad to see another player leave, but the bell tolls for all of us at some point.
