Ok, so I just ran through SM in Heroic mode, no difference. Whats the Heroic mode all about? I heard something about tokens that you can use for purchasing epic gear. If thats true, whats the requirment to get them?

No seriously, it's just for some of the instances in Outland. You can set some of the pre-70 instances to become level 70 instances which are more difficult and give better loot. The option doesn't apply to anything in Azeroth currently.

I say currently as there is the possibility (although no plans at this time to do so) that we could add the same Heroic mode to current dungeons.

I can't wait for SFK Heroic Mode, Shadowfang Keep was one of the better instances

What they should have done was just increse the drops in current instances and make the bosses have more hitpoints or something :P

That's good to hear, it is a bit silly killing all those evil big well-known villians and what not at such low lvls. At lvl 70 in heroic mode, it would really would fit the storyline a lot better.

That may make people use the LFG system.

Just use current loot - band of the underworld, Staff of Jordan etc.

Just make them Bop to prevent a farmer invasion.

so we got instances that you can set to hard or easy.. not sure why but i dont like that idea for some odd reason and tokens to boot. Sounds like im playing a video game instead of wow.

Honestly its a retarded idea but thats just my opinion. you guys gonna have hard easy mode on pvp to?

I'd prefer a Heroic Mode Deadmines. Compared to all the other dungeons I've been through on my 60, that dungeon was the most fun :)

Add Heroic Mode for BFD. I'm begging you. Me and my friends have such great memories of that instance.

2 warriors, 1 hunter, 1 warlock and 1 priest... 3 levels under the recommended level to do it pwned that instance. Me and my lock buddy managed to kill the last boss by chainfearing and autoshooting while the rest of our friends were dead.

Great great memories.

And Maraudon, just cause it's kinda silly that the daughter of an Old God is so ez-mode.

I don't think you quite get it. It isn't a hard/easy switch where you get the same rewards either way.

Let me give you an example:

Hellfire Ramparts is a Level 60 instance, the first you will encounter in Outlands. It is really easy, mobs ranging from 58 to 62 for the bosses.

Heroic Hellfire Ramparts is a Level 70 version of this instance. The trash can 1-2 shot cloth, the bosses are 72-73 and have new abilities (for example in Normal Mode the first boss has two healers and occasionally charges people, on Heroic Mode he gains a stacking -10% healing debuff on the tank). The loot tables are upgraded to level 70 loot, and epic tokens drop that can be turned in for actual items. In addition the final boss of each Heroic Instance drops an actual epic item.

It is just a way to get more mileage out of content.

edit: The normal Level 70 dungeons also have Heroic versions. Heroic != Level 70 dungeons, all Heroic dungeons are meant to be a step up in difficulty from the level 70 dungeons.

If Blizzard does not increase the difficulty of the current dungeons, will players even take the time to run them anymore? It's sad to think how much of the WoW experience people are going to miss out on. Naxxramus will be vacant since nobody bothered to get rep with the Argent Dawn by running Strat and Scholo. On newer servers, C'Thun's stomach will remain empty since the AQ gates won't get opened by the people who skip LBRS, UBRS, and BWL. Ragnaros can continue sleeping in MC since nobody bothered running BRD. Worst of all, Windsor will rot in the BRD jail because nobody will need Ony's loot.

While I look forward to the release of BC and the many challenges it will bring, it only seems fair to make the current instances more challenging in the future so that everyone gets an opportunity to experience them in something other than "farm mode".

Do it for Windsor.

Another idea Blizzard stole from other MMO's. In fact, two idea's from the LFG panel to the instance difficulty stealen from DDO. Poor Blizzard... didn't your mother teach you never to steal.
