So was browsing a site with all the 2.4 patch notes today and saw that Blizzard is thinking about giving Warlocks a spell to place a demonic circle on the ground and be able to port to it from a range of 40 yards. So... instead of nerfing the most overpowered class in game.... they're getting a huge buff on par to mages blink? And not to mention they're able to cast demons faster in the circle. So if I were to kill it's demon.. it'll just blink away cast another one and if I don't die from DoTs by the time I get to them again, I have to start the fight all over?

Calling a brief description of a hypothetical expansion pack class skill a "lock buff" is really reaching. I'm not suggesting that you should be a Blizzard fanboy, but don't break your back looking for things to complain about.
The fact that one lock putting up all his DoTs and then fearing will pretty much kill anything under 10k HP. Only thing that really stands a chance is pally bubbles, and maybe a good warrior.

Q u o t e: What he said was basically
"we don't want to have to keep balancing warlocks as a caster tank, so we're going to make them more like mages"
I think we can safely assume the high stam and drain life will both be getting nerfs if that is the road they're taking.
Lovely.
Looks like I'll be making my rogue my new main. I don't want to be a mage. There's a reason I haven't been able to get one past level 20. Because it sucks.

In the future please be sure to read, review, and point out ALL of the information in regards to topics like this. Also remember that we don't know if this will actually come out for Warlocks and we don't have information on the "buffs" (reads: new abilities) other classes will receive.
Q u o t e: We definitely feel the need for warlocks to gain some sort of active defense so we don't have to try to balance them around the assumption that they're "tanking" melee classes. For example, an idea we're running with internally is the concept of a warlock being able to cast a spell that places a circle of demonic power on the ground. The warlock would be able to teleport to this location from within a relatively short range (ie: 40 yards), and would also be able to summon demons more quickly if they're standing within the circle.
Note: this idea is intended as a sneak peek, it's not something that we're planning for 2.4, it would be more likely as an expansion ability, and may change entirely before said time.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on the expansion. Details like this will be known in due time.
