I know that we are going to be able to display our highest earned rank in our title, but will there be any way to achieve new titles?

For instance, i only have First Sergeant as my highest rank, will I be able to get ranks like champion in the next patch?

There's going to be new titles as well (not all of which are PvP-related.) Like, there'll be one for being exalted with all the BG factions, and so on.

New titles will be limited until the expansion releases. Until then you'll likely only have three options (of which you can switch between at will).

No title.
Exalted with all battleground factions title. (granting you have/will achieve this)
Highest rank achieved title. (granting you have achieved a rank)

Also we do plan to make the current battleground titles available again at some point in the future, so there will be more opportunities to gain them if you had not before. We don't currently have any plans in motion for how that will be achieved, but it's something we are intending to make available in the future. Until that time your rank titles will be somewhat of a keepsake from the old system.

Imo, just put them in as PvP awards that you can purchase with honor and/or tokens.

How about not. The title is all we have left to call our own; go spend 2 weeks getting full HWL gear next patch and tell me our effort was not cheapened. You don't get the title too for PvPing an extra 3 days.

The exalted title option isn't available on the PTR. Is this currently in the beta, or does it require exalted with the 4th BG as well?

So, will there be additional titles in the Xpack that are awarded outside of PvP/BGs? For example, turning in the head of Onyxia and Nefarion could net you the title Dragon-Slayer.

Another good place for a title would be at Revered with a Capital City. Right now, there's no reward for that reputation. So if you're revered with Darnassus, you could get the title Sentinel, with Ironforge, a Mountaineer, with Stormwind they put a Sir in front of your name, and so on.

If somebody tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back.

i was wondering the same thing, would be kinda nice to buy other ranks titles,(except HWL and GM, those should only be available to ppl who have reached that rank pre patch)

but theres something else i wouldnt mind seeing, being able to get a rank for geting ur bloodsail set, does blizzard plan on doing something for the bloodsail crew members?

Yeah, there should certainly be some capital city perks (aside from the mount @ exalted).

Would it be possible to select from all previously earned titles? I don't know if the term applies in US-slang, but we have the terms "up himself" and "try-hard" some folks might prefer something a little less ostentatious than "High Warlord" or even "Champion" and might prefer to select one of their other earned titles (Sergeant for eg.).

Just a thought.

I'm exalted with all 3 BG's on this char, copied over the PTR and didn't see an option. Only my PvP rank and 'None' were options on the char screen.

I like this idea a lot, although I think exalted would be more appropriate.

In all seriousness, once you achieve artisan first aid you are addressed as "Dr. Playername", where Playername is the name of the player. I've always thought this should somehow be denoted.
