I wish I had more time to dileniate this point but I will give it my best shot in the time I have. I remember when playing wow was fun. I remember a time when raiding and pvp were intertwined. I remember spending six months to complete my Giantstalkers set and then going into a battleground and owning face. That was fun. My guild built a team to go in a crush Molton Core and there was commraderie, teamwork, heartache, and frustration. All the things that build lasting bonds and incredible teams.

We raided to raid, we worked hard together to progress at PVE but at the same time we were gearing ourselves for PVP. I remember the excitement for new boss kills and of not only gearing myself up but my team members as well. At that time, I enjoyed PVE and PVP. Now they are such a dicotomy that you could actually spit WoW into two seperate games. Blizzard had it right at the begining, they've tried much too hard to fix what isn't broken and have, in the end, dismembered a once great game and team building passtime.

I haven't raided with my guild for nearly a year now, because I am doing a constant honor/arena grind. I coach at a High School and I tell my athletes that play Football to also engage in other sports during the off season because it will make a better at Football player in the end. I also tell my wrestlers to play football. Its in a sense crosstraing. I wish Blizzard would realize this and bring back what they had done right at the begining. Intertwine PVE and PVP don't serperate the two, otherwise you are just have two different games under one title.

The hard part about being on this team isn't risking your own life....it's watching your friends risk theirs.

We are tossing a little more into the mix with a change that is being implemented in patch 2.4. Players will be able to purchase level 70 Superior quality PvP gear off of reputation vendors.

We want both PvE and PvP to work together and this is just one way we think will help do that for those looking to better combine the two.

As in, rep vendors in outland or from PvP rep vendors?

This is very interesting news... I'd like to hear more details as to how this will work , but odds are it won't be really cleared up until the 2.4 patch notes are available...

IMO, adding PvP experience makes a PvE'er a better player even without equipment upgrade considerations. That's because there are some abilities that you really don't need much (or understand much) in PvE that can be really useful in PvP, and once discovered/learned can be applied back to PvE.

Opponents are also less predictable, and so you learn to think on your feet and especially how to act on the run.

As a Paladin, one example of this are the various abilities to keep yourself or a target free to act and not CC'd. In PvE it's usually enough to Cleanse or use a BoF now and then, but how many think to use BoSac to keep themselves freed up? Not many.

Similarly, PvP'ers can learn things from PvE too, although Arenas are already doing some of this. Namely group tactics and coordination, discipline, and resource management (typically mana). I used to have a PvP'er in my old guild who got to the top rank of PvP, but when he came to raid he was terrible. He was a Warrior who didn't know how to maintank, offtank, manage his aggro in a DPS role, or control adds.

Superior quality normally means blue, and the only blue PvP set I can think of is the new HWL gear. This would be nice for gearing out alts.

Yea at the very least it will help equalize the starter pvp gear for fresh 70's, tell then can upgrade with arena gear or glad gear (if its still offered past 2.4).

How we can only hope they address the 2v2 queue times...::crosses fingers::

So this helps raiders how? Guys I know you clear hyjal/bt but those pieces of gear you get there wont help at all so get these pieces of gear. The main problem is resilience and you guys dont see it. Stam was the pvp stat and it worked pre-bc it didnt kill specs did it suck fighting a warrior with 7k hp back then? Yeah it did but if he sucked you could still pull it off. It now takes 2-3 people to kill a healer. Some cloth classes have more Damage reduction than plate classes that leaves the glass cannon classes in a very bad position. Daggers? Unless your mutilate its terrible, your damage is almost cut in half. Fire mages? LOL they crit for more at 60 with a pom/pyro than they do now. Fury warriors? Do you not see that these specs are almost non-existant in pvp? Your pvp stat has destroyed them.

I dont see how giving raiders blues is gonna help them. It negates the time they have spent in those dungeons pretty much making them show pieces. One stat making classes/specs obsolete is ridiculous. Oh and dont bring up the 2shotting crap raiders in T6 get 2 shotted now by pvpers in S1-3. I have seen that rogue with both Illidian blades attack a warrior and when the warrior turns around after just taking 25 seconds to kill a priest, 2-3 shot the rogue in about 4 seconds. And you guys dont see how this is unfair to some classes?
