I really think mages need buffs in 2.4.

But.. knowing blizzard... sadly I dont think this will happen. I bet everyone at blizzard is like "Pff, we gave them ice block, and icey veins! They are borderline overpowered! Lets buff hunters more!"

Also, the graphic has been redesigned so that it's easy to see by enemy dispellers in PvP.

I see this quoted all the time. What patch was that from or is this a joke started long ago?

Personally, I'd love to see an instant cast AoE decurse with a 40 yard range. Not that we NEED it. I just want to sit down with a tub of popcorn and a soda, reading the warlock forums when it's announced.

That is the the standard Mage change template. Most mage Bugs get icon/tooltip changes instead of fixing.

I've played Horde, it's just too easy, thanks.

Mages have always had a history of having low changes on patch notes. For about 3-5 patches in a row, mages got nothing but Icon changes on Mage armor (it changed a few times)

Unfortunately, mages wont be buffed, if we will be, it'll be something idiotic like "Molten armour has a .001% chance to resist spell pushback" and everyone will be like "OMFG!!!!! U JST GOT BUFFD QQ LESS PL0X!!!!!!! U IS R SO OP!"

I'm giving serious consideration to either shelving my mage for good, or quitting WoW. I really see no point in continuing if my only purpose is arcane buffs, water, and sheeping.

Well if anything I hope they remove the ridiculous reagent requirement for RoR...

Seriousley, BG's is all I really do and I get some really viscious treatment from the whole group if I don't drop a table.

To be honest, I believe fire and frost is perfectly fine as far as PVE goes. Arguably, I think nobody expected a DPS boost from icy veins to come our way in 2.3.2. With this, I am confident no more is needed, if not for the annoying fact that you will need 3 warlocks before mages get COE, which is highly frustrating.

Arcane does lag in the back as far as top-end gear goes, but buffing arcane would only end up making it too good at the lower end of the scale.

PSA: Teron parses with more than 5 million damage are bugged and count Ghosts as part of RDPS. Please do not use those. Remove 4750-5000 RDPS to get a good idea of the real RDPS

Mages:
Mage Armor tooltip corrected, it now mentions how useless it is.
Mage Armor has a new icon.
Ritual of Refreshment no longer available at trainers; it requires a tome that drops in heroic instances. All mages have lost the Ritual of Refreshment ability so they can go find the tome.
Ritual of Refreshment reagents have been changed to 2x arcane dust instead of arcane power, reflecting how much blizzard cares about the mage class.

I swear ISB should leave a fire damage debuff when locks crit with incinerate in addition to the shadow debuff when they crit with SB. Locks would have a reason to use incinerate and imp scorch would be more than just a ramp up time for mage dps.

Making arcane somehow scale better would be really nice. Right now it really doesn't get any benefit out of heroism/bloodlust in addition to flat out scaling poorly.

Good enough is never good enough.

I'd be happy if arcane was more useful. As of now it's only a viable spec with 2 pieces of tier 5 and a few shadow priests. I can understand blizzard making it so it's harder to maintain mana, but making it impossible to maintain mana during any fight and do subpar DPS just seems dumb to me.

that's just my two cents.

I do know that in patch 2.4 players can only carry 80 of your delicious conjured manna biscuits at one time. As a result, you should experience less banquet-creating frustration. Sorry, the spell icon will remain the same and not look any more new or unique.
