The restriction of X amount of stuff fomr the guild bank is mostly useless, there should be a restirction that you must pay gold to the bank to take stuff out

sure there IS an option to do so (take stuff out, and put money back in for doing so) but its much more polite to get it done by force like this, instead of having to search the log to make sure people did stuff

Yknow, I really think that could be a fun option. (Say, take the vendor price, or AH deposit price, as the price from guild bank, unless the guild leader sets a price).

It could mean:

A) Much cheaper items then you could normally get *still*
B) The guild bank would have a fund that comes out of *every ones pockets*
C) Since everyone funds the bank, maybe the guild leader would be more then happy to allow people X money to be spent on repairs!
D) The more people take stuff out of the guild bank, the more money the guild bank has, the more the guild can, in endgame, purchase things that they can not make in guild (maybe they have enough to regem their main tank and main healer with gems they can't make yet?)

I feel it around me, so warm. As the seconds tick by, it pulses, reverberating through my entire being, making me feel alive. All of a sudden, in a burst of ecstasy, it explodes... I love lifebloom.

i was thinking more along the lines of marks of illidan or raid recipies, but yeah the above poster's idea applies as well

they could also make items that are binded to the guild, rather than binded to the player, which become soulbound to the player if he ever becomes guildless (something like created by guild X)

usually the bank gives it out from requests and such, it woudl be a decent system

We have:

Two free-for-all tabs that any member can put in and take from.
Two "glass case" tabs of more valuable items that require an officer to take items from. Things that we ask for a donation for go in this tab, and once an officer sees you've made an equivalent donation, they'll get it out for ya.

My voice is nothing. My thoughts are nothing. In many respects I'm like you: nothing.

that seems like a lot of work. The work being the part wher eyou have to teach yoru guild to do something like this, and convince them to

It didn't really take much convincing. People see something in the tab that they want but can't get themselves, they naturally ask an officer about it. We've posted the rules and procedure on our website. We're pretty tight-knit, and it's a smart crew, so it really didn't take long for people to pick it up.

i mean, if your guild doesnt already do it, you gotta teach the guild officers how it will be done and what the plan is

EDIT: normally its the usual policy, you go in there ask for it for free and all that jazz im sure more things like enchant mats and pots would be easier to use from the bank if it were like this, cause its REALLY hard to get a guild to do this when they ahvent before, officers and guild leaders dont understand the concept

one would hope that a guild has put people in officership that are smart enough to get the concept of give and take...being only told the rule once or twice...

<insert meaningful information here>

tjhe thing is, im trying to do this from the standpoint of a member, whereas you peopel are thinking abou this from an officer or GM standpoint,

i've tried in many guilds to get a system like this setup, all have failed due to the lack of understanding

For the most part our officers (and I) prefer the current guild bank -- two tabs totally hands off are things we don't have to worry about. It also beats the "Lodbank" alt that I'd have to log on to and check inventory of whenever someone asked if we had something.

thats similar to our system, except we have 3 different restriction levels... 1 tab for officers only, 1 tab for officers and advanced guild members and the rest for the average members and all thier useless crap (who deposits 1 flask of mojo anyway?!).

the stuff in the tabs is sorted neatly, more rare things are in officers' tab and need to have someone take it out for you if you dont have access. anyone can view tabs though

I think my guild may revise how it handles the bank one of these days. Right now only the highest ranking officers can remove items, and frankly, the thing's damn near full to bursting because we all keep putting stuff in that might be remotely useful to someone down the line.

How many "mithril filiagrees" does one guild NEED? >.<

I have a 70 warlock, a 70 druid, and a 70 paladin. If I had any less of a life I'd be gnawing on your skull to get at your brains.

We've been exploring ideas about letting guild masters set prices for items from the guild bank. We hope to get some cool guild bank improvements in over time.

Though I risk life and limb (or at least forum priviliages), I have to ask......

Does this bit of information qualify as a "Tigole bitty"?

That's a pretty good concept. Our guild just moved past Kael and there's items now available to the guild that are being given out to the raid group--but extras are being sold for PvP gear and alts. It'd definitely make it easier on the GM.

They have been at a great feast of languages,
and stolen the scraps.

Ours is free-for-all, limited to 10 stacks/person/day.

It would be nice if that limit could be lifted for raw materials for trade skills, and for enchanting materials etc. but kept in place for blues and patterns.

Wah! No one gets me! No one appreciates me for the special snowflake that I am! I shall go forth, yea, and seek out the worms of the land, and consume them, for as much as to soothe me.

Having the Guild Bank be able to purchase items from guild members would be a great feature. Even if it was a limited number of different types of items at one time, say 5 or something. Say the GM could set the price per item and set the limit to the number of items one person could sell to the vault in a day. That would take a huge burden off us for thing like buying herbs from the guild members.

put blues/patterns in tab 1 and keep limits. put materials in tab 2 and make the number higher...

second tab isnt too expensive, if you're working with only 1 now
