I bought a WoW game and expansion and loaded it on my laptop at home, but I'm wondering is there any way I can download a client to play my characters on a seperate computer, or do I have to actually get the disks and install them on this computer?

On the worldofwarcraft.com site, go to Free Trial. Click Original. Under the Create Trial button, there is a download (.exe) link for the game. Repeat for BC.

Just a note: if you are doing this to a work computer, you may want to check with your employer to see if it is okay for you to DL a game.

Ah.. I have the free trial (original not expansion) loaded on here, but it says that I cannot play my account with it since a CD key has been applied to it. I also tried downloading the expansion pack trial but when I log in to download it, it says my account is already upgraded to expansion.

I am trying to find a way I can play from where I'm at. >.<
It is a work computer, but my parents own the business and everything in it so I'm ok. lol

Ok so I already have a full blown account, but i don't have the disks. Is there any way i can download the full version for free? When i went to the original trial thing under pc/mac it was obviously trial version. So is there any place to find the full version?

The version you download when you do the trial IS the full version. The only thing that's trial about it is you're account goes down after 14 days. put in the username/password of a full account and you can play just like any other wow version.

Actually, the client accessed via the instructions provided by Kimmay, offers you the streaming client. This client only works with trial accounts.

Ok so i downloaded the full 4GB version.. BUT... when i try to install it , it installs untill it gets in the 20% then says "please insert disc 2".. DISC 2??? i thought it was the full version...

You should have gotten five discs. And anyways, to that guy before, please don't necro threads. Look at the date of the last post before making one of your own.

actually i tried that...they came out with a new trial version that only works with trial accounts

look in the lower right hand corner of the page for which ever one you are downloading(orginal or BC) and their should be a link saying something along the lines of I've already started my tral click here download

WoW itself is free since you can download the full version for free legaly from the web site, same with BC. The 20-50 bucks for getting both WoW and BC is more like a activation fee for your account and the upgrading it; kind of like when you get a new cell phone you have to pay a acvition fee.

Wrong. If you want to download the full wow client and have an account (i.e. not starting from trial), you have to go to the "account management" page under WorldofWarcraft.com (link at the top of this screen), then click "Download" under the "Account Type" section of the first page you see (should say "Burning Crusade [download]" for most).
