I AM TEARGRINE
I was exploring in Netherstorm the other day and off the mainland on a floating piece of debris south of the Arklon Ruins and West of Manaforge Coruu was a small blue shrine, almost tombstone looking object surrounded by pink crystals. The object looks very futuristic and has occasional alien symbols that light up in light blue. It is a distinctly unique doodad that must serve some purpose for blizzard to have made it and put it in only one remote place in the game. Anyone have ANY idea what the hell it is or its purpose?

Sometimes they put little bits and bobs out in the middle of nowhere as a reward to players who explore for the sake of exploration. It might not have any purpose, and might not have been built to be put to any use later. It might also have been chucked out there as a possible plot hook later, but without any specific plans - sort of a stump on which to build some story if they get strapped for content segues.

Rest in peace Nova...
I close my eyes
Only for a moment, then the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind...

Their system of oppression, what did it lead to? Global robot depression.

I prefer the bill and ted version
[Bill and Ted are in Ancient Greece]
Bill: [approaching Socrates] How's it going? I'm Bill, and this is Ted. We're from the future.
Ted: [whispering to Bill] Now what?
Bill: I dunno... Philosophize with him!
Ted: [clears his throat, to Socrates] "All we are is dust in the wind," dude.
[Socrates gives them a blank stare]
Bill: [scoops up a pile of dust from the basin before them and lets it run out of his hand] Dust.
[he blows the remainder away]
Bill: Wind.
Ted: [points at Socrates] Dude.
[Socrates gasps]

Possibly a memorial for a Blizzard Employee or something of the like? Kind of like the one in Southshore that was confirmed to be for a friend of one of the developers.

There are notations throughout the WoW universe to people who have passed on. I think that may be a hint that this may be one of them?
If you place an infinite number of monkeys in a room full of typewriters, you'll eventually produce Shakespeare.
When you're short on monkeys you get forum trolls.

Final nail in the coffin for Starcraft: Ghost? (Wasn't the main character named Nova?)
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
