To help improve the quality of play in Battlegrounds we have applied a Hotfix that significantly reduces the number of AFK reports needed to mark a player as inactive and prevent them from gaining Battleground Marks and Honor Points.
Also, our In-Game Support Department is regularly checking for inactive players and they will be issuing disciplinary measures for those found violating our policies.

Now, what about booting them after 5-10 minutes as well??
20 AFK tagged people in a BG does nothing. Who cares if they get no honor? We're still going to lose with HALF the team gone!!!

So, let me get this straight. if you afk and people report you, you get
1. NO MARKS
And
2. NO HONOR POINTS?
If you truly have made this change to the system and they get no honor points and no bonus honor, plus no marks at all, I surely hope that tomorrow I see NO AFKERS. If I do, I will question what they're really getting.

Some folks tried to give me the debuff whilst I was defending some towers. No opposition had come to challenge me. If I got kicked after 5 mins inactivity, this would disadvantage my team. 10 minutes might be plausible, but that's pretty much half the average game length. Hmm, still not 100% convinced about kicking players out. There'd need to be some smarts in the system to ensure folks who are doing nothing 'afkish' yet have had morons tag them ask 'afk' don't get hit needlessly.

P.S. While writing, a rogue friend of mine who was late to joining an AV game, decided to take the mine close to the Alliance cave. He's just been hit with the AFK debuff. He was amused that I'd shown this thread to him about 30 seconds before this happened ;)
